A RMN STAFF RPG THOUGHT/IDEA

It just popped into my head now, so if it's a dumb or silly idea, I'm sorry lol. So, anyway. I think a neat idea for a collaborated game could come from the staff of this awosme site. Like the only people working on it would be the staff members. Here is the idea.
It would most likely be a short RPG, maybe and few hours of game play.
It's just another fun filled day in the world of RMN and all the staff members are doing there thing, when suddenly......BAM! The site starts acting funny, randomly starts flicking colors, games getting deleted, members marker score going down and all kinds of other bad things. So, the staff arranges a real life meeting to discuss this devastating matter. As the conversation continues, their research leads to the problem. A nasty virus known as the "RPG Eliminator" has infected its nasty ways into the community in an effort to end the RPG Maker scene that we know and love.
The staff decides that they wont stand for such an atrocity. They put their brilliant minds together and create a device that will allow them to enter the virtual world of the internet to put an idea to the "RPG Eliminator." With brains, brawns, skill and a whole lot of luck. The staff can and will save the world of RPG Maker and once again restore a happy world for us all.
Lol, I actually put a lot of thought into this. Even if it's not possible. I would really like to know what you all think (especially the staff.) Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Sounds like RPGM2KBRPG 2: Electric Boogaloo to me.
If you want to really make a game like that, then at least have the staff members decide the dialogue for their characters.

Yeah, well, it was fine but REDDAP's character bothered me alot. He seemed like a skinned emo Mary Sue to me.
RMN GAM, RMN GAEM: KENTONA'S QUEST, RMN GAYM: LOCKEZ TO THE PAST. That's all I can think of.

Oh, well i guess its not such a good idea lol. I expected at least ONE staff reply about my idea. oh well, ill live.

And he wasn't even as emo or Mary Sue as another prevalent character in the story.
But anyhow, to actually contribute to the topic, the thing about writing about real (internet) people for real (internet) people is that, as said above, you need to work with said people to come up with their respective characters. That makes it a little difficult to write even a vaguely cohesive story without making it either too esoteric or just flat out off the wall. So really, it would probably require a lot of involvement with all the people that are "in" it to really work, and even at that, you'll be asking yourself repeatedly if the concept and idea is worth the effort in the end.
For a very short term project, I think it can be done decently, but trust me, it gets difficult in the long run without eventually turning it into an entirely different beast. If you think you can play out the idea for as much as the novelty of the idea is worth, then there's no harm in at least giving it a shot and seeing how it might actually look.

Here's one:
RMN RPG
Pre-game story:
Pyro is messing around in RM2K3 when he puts his work online, telling his partner BlobofGoo that he's put it on the site. Everyone shrieks in terror as not even the creators of said game knew how bad it was. BlobofGoo and Pyrodoom play the game a few times more, and can't find anything wrong with it, so they go and say that they fixed everything, actually lying because they did nothing with it, feeling there wasn't much wrong with it, and it gets even worse. But instead, this time, BlobofGoo gives the idea to everyone to hunt down Pyrodoom! Pyrodoom, in his house, is thinking of a plan to get him out of the mess he's in, and find out why even the person who helped make the game and said to re-release it was so angry at him.
Shortened version of story:
1.Pyro goes on the site to talk to Kentona, who bans him from RMN forever.
2.Pyro gets angry, and goes to a store to buy a gun, and is told he's too young.
3.He learns a lot of info about game developing and science fiction, to think up the reason about the game being so bad, and to think up a plan that people would think would only go wrong.
4.Pyro invents a time machine that ages himself also ala Ocarina of Time's Temple of Time.
5.He goes back to the gun shop to find out it's become a place for selling PC games, most of them being RMN games. None of which being games made by Pyro or BlobOfGoo.
6.He goes back to the site, to find out it's non-existent, saying no one was using the site, and was now selling their games to go against Pyro.
7.Pyro thinks a bit, and starts searching for the file of the game, so he can re-play it and check it out again.
8.When he realizes what he did, he goes back in time to when BlobofGoo and Pyro were making the game, only to get attacked by scared people, who heard of the fiction about time travel and time paradoxes.
9.After explaining to Pyro and BoG(got tired of typing out his whole name...) that they shouldn't be worried, and that this coming back would save Pyro of the past, he tells the group to take out any secret endings and messages that may seem rude to the people playing it, and explained that Pyro from the past must of forgot to give BoG the final version with the secret endings and secret messages, making the testing of the game random for BoG, and normal for the Pyro of the past. When BoG played the game without telling Pyro of the past, feeling no reason to tell him, he found a secret ending with credits typed specifically blaming BoG for anything that may of sucked in the game, basically calling BoG a bad game designer, and getting him angry.
10.Game is fixed, and the 'future' Pyro disappears, while the new chapter begins, with BlobofGoo as the main character. If he shows up on this topic, he can type his story up if he wants.
This to me, seems like a well thought out idea. And just the idea itself to me, seems like me who made it should make the game, but really, I'm giving it out to anyone who wants to try it. I know, kind of rude that I made me the main character of the 1st chapter, but hey, I barely know much about Kentona or more of the others, so really, there's no point of me or someone else creating a game, based off story that may have nothing to do with the character that is being played. SSo yeah, this is my story for a game, but it's only a story, O.K.? Good.
@Rodpop
Oooh, okay. I get it now. Nevermind.
REDDAP's charset looks still like a skinned emo. Literally.
(Where'd you come from all of the sudden?)
@pyrodoom
The story is nice, though unsurprisingly I'd change the characters. And it definitely wouldn't be me, I'd just go back to playing TF2 if I was in a situation like that.

In all honesty, a buddy of mine linked the topic to me because it referenced RPGM2KBRPG!, and I was so stunned that it was being brought up that I had to participate. Of course, that also meant that I had a stellar and professional frame of reference in which to talk about developing community games, even though the majority of the community from RPGM2KBRPG! left early in its production and it turned into a hot mess of crack ideas REDDAP and I had until we realized it was time to let it die. I should probably make a welcome topic for this stuff.
So once again, when developing a community game, enthusiasm and input from the community is beyond important. I also repeat things that are absurdly obvious.
I once had a community game project which was being made with 2K3 and later 2K for some reason but the project members didn't do jack shit and the dialogue was cheesy.
Probably my RPG Maker "career's" biggest flop.
If you feel like staying in this place, you could make a page for RPGM2KBRPG! here. It was overall a nice game.

Clearly when we release the super amazing new RM2k project we're working on, we could upload RPGM2KBRPG! as a kind of history lesson.
Though as Rod already knows, I still say the old chain game was the real high point of that community.

Thanks, but:
1.If you were in my place...um...you wouldn't care if they were coming to murder you for every horrible thing you said?
2.Thanks for the suggestion, but as I said, it was just a story, if someone gets a hold of it, they can change it all they want, but I already have an RM2K3 project and SMBX project with BoG going on.
there's not even much of an "RM community" nowadays. in 2001 it prob seemed more appropiate because there was no facebook and everyone was like 12 or something.
It became Salt world it's very different now but someone else can certainly explain in more details. That's definitely where I got my very first rpgs, I really liked it at the time.

I don't think RMN would ever be so fucked up that they'd murder the banned members.

Um...well...my explanation:IT'S A GAME. Doesn't have to make sense all the time!
