CloseSoooo, I've wanted RPG Maker XP for the longest. A family member finally bought it for me a few months ago for my birthday, and it was one of my favorite presents. I've started on a game, and haven't really worked on it much lately, but this year, I've decided, is a year to get things done. Make some games. Sell some stuff. Write some stories. SELL some stories. Get the picture?
In my simpleton mind, "paying for game"=="commercial game". Which compels me to say that commercial games are not allowed. Though, by all means, refer to that thread for your questions about what is/is not allowed regarding games that people pay for!

Sure, that'd be cool, Marrend -- I don't want any of my posts deleted or moved(I can't stand when that happens in forums...), and thiug I don't plan on selling games HERE( I know some people that will buy anything XD) I don't want any of my games take. Down either. I could use some help :) In fact, I'm in need of some spriting tutorials. I'm a commissioned art student in real life, and I'm decent in spiriting, but I suck at people :P

Thanks for that little detail XD I'm a total klutz, so that probably would have happened at some point if you didn't say anything XP
So what IS your favorite engine to use? Or are you just here for the games?
I actually haven't made a game yet, but soon I'll be using AGS to make a game. Though, it seems I can only use AGS for some reason.

I started with 2K, though. Made one game (hint: it was crap), and assisted with two others. I got out of the hobby for a while, totally skipping over 2K3. Then, I picked up RPG Maker XP. Made three games with it. Two of them I pretty much abandoned. The other was ported to VX, sometime after I got a hold of it obviously, and is on RMN. Then Ace came out, and, well, I'm not sure how may games I'll make with it, to be honest.
Anyway, if I tried my hand on XP now, I'm sure I would be getting a headache on how to do creature balance.

Ha, thanks XD A tsundere is a person(usually a girl) who has a tough outer demeanor -- a tomboyish sort -- but on the inside actually has a caring streak. It's a character type.
