Although you wouldn't see the game ever, given my endless laziness.
Im a big fan of industrial/technological revolutions, a setting in which a current way of life is overshadowed by a new way of life presented by a progression in technology or even the invasion of an advanced society. Those setting appeal to me because they really bring out the best and worst parts of humans. I try to incorporate this setting into all of my games in one way or another, its always cool to see differences in how characters and NPCs think in terms of what is good technology, what is bad, etc., etc.

I remember one setting I had where gunpowder based weapons were extremely vulnerable to enemy magic. So armies always used bows or crossbows. A rich merchant or nobleman might carry a pistol as a surprise weapon but that was about it.
