MAFIA: DEMON REALM GAME THREAD

Posts

I am asking this because the fact that he is a DEMON but has a power to turn people into werewolves DOES sound like a Cultist Leader (albeit it being a third-party role.) And you are bluffing on the truth serum, again. You've used that lie on the PW game!

??? I lied about being a bulletproof weak doctor in the PW game. This is a completely different claim, but yes, it was a bluff to see what Marrend would do and if he could be confirmed as town.

But I'm abandoning that now because I caught a bigger fish. You are apparently so sure that I was lying that you would post that in a way that brooked no argument. Combined with my earlier accusation, I'd wager to say that YOU know who poisoned Marrend. And since poisoner is traditionally a scum role...

I was a town-aligned cult leader, so I guess it is some sort of mason leader. I win by exterminating all humans just like the other townies. (was because I'm sad to say all my traits and powers were cleared upon revival. :C )

On a side note, CAVE, is Garfield still starting?

Yes. Later tonight. Now, again, Jeroen. Does the busdriver make sense to you now/Do you have any reason to believe you were not just nightkilled?
I wasn't talking about your "visiting" power. I was talking about that one line you've mentioned before in PW, "I will activate the serum that's implanted on ivorjones....."-something like that in the previous game.

Ok. Supposed you're right and there's a possiblity that Jeroen was mafia-killed. Are you seriously implying those other 2 kills were done by demons/outsiders? The possibility of having that much kill in 1 night is pretty low imho.

We know that Yellow Magic was third party. I don't see why there couldn't be another third party with a killing ability.

And RMN is no stranger to night 1 trigger happy vigilantes. The possibility of people actually keeping their guns in their pants is what is low.

Oh, and the serum thing in PW was pretty obviously a joke because I said that I would blow you up.

I understand that if you are a demon, the bus driver has probably caused this. I still don't believe you are, however. My notification of last night said I was stalking you, waiting for the best moment to bite you. When I proceeded to do this, you pulled something on me, killing me. Also, Zeuzio said I would know if I bit a hero. As there's nothing in my notification implying death by another means, I believe it was my power that killed me. Also, how else do you explain 3 deaths in one night???
Another reason is this. As I was the leader of the werewolves, all werewolves would die if I did. I don't know the order in which night actions take place, bt assuming you were town, and my action happened before nightkill, you would be dead too.

I just explained how there could be three deaths.

I pulled something on you? What? I didn't get ANY night flavor regarding you at all, so it seems like you were, perhaps, stalking the wrong person. Because there's not much point in a bus driver if he lets you know exactly what he's doing. (Bus drivers, in every mafia game I have played that has them, do not in any way inform the players being driven of what has happened.)

It says you get killed if you visit a hero. That doesn't mean you don't get killed at night. It just means you have an additional way of getting killed. But it doesn't sound like you were nightkilled because of the flavor you got.

I dunno if I should be quoting this, but it was 'some kind of silver cross trinket that halts your progress and makes you feel awful' <-- Isn't this kinda meta-ish?

yeah, so nothing I have.

Incidentally, someone stole an item from me last night. If you would like a confirmation that you targeted someone else, just have that person continually steal from me and see if you get a "silver cross."

I don't know if it was an item or just something Zeuzio made up for my death. I'm sorry, I'm not changing my vote. I'm merely lynching the person who seems most likely to be a hero to me. Tell you what, if you do turn out to be a demon, I'll personally delve into who might be the bus driver, and who may have killed me.

Well... I'm gonna sleep. We've laid out our arguments, now let's see who the rest of us pick, I guess.

You could also go with my plan which will show you with 100 percent success that I am town. It stands to reason that if you get killed when visiting heroes, and that you are killed by a silver cross, then a silver cross should be on my person.

Instead of determining who is most likely to be a hero based on night actions when it seems very likely that they can be messed with and thus obfuscate town's goals considering the confirmed presence of thefts and vigilantes (Yellow Magic's inventory), why don't you try look at who is scum based on what they are posting?

To that end, tell me this. If you're dead-set on lynching me today, who are you going to call the bus driver and lynch tomorrow once I flip town? How do you plan to personally delve into this when you appear to be relying fully on your night actions, which you no longer have, instead of examining words?
I'm not exactly seeing CAVE's arguement. Obviously, only a hero could have a silver cross, and it could be a one shot only. However, I don't like to read into text like that as it can discombobulate things. Also, I'm thinking CAVE really did end up triggering your role Jereon. The reason being CAVE is trying to sell that he doesn't have a cross when it could obviously be a one-time use, a item created just to show "Hey, I'm a hero!" or he could out right be lying. Even with the thief strategy, who's to guarantee the thief would even think of helping us AND it's very obvious that there is a record of all night actions in your PMs and after one night phase very little is going to happen to our inventories. Not that it matters (or maybe I don't see how it matters?).

I don't have any reason to think that the thief is sided with the mafia, considering the fact that Yellow Magic was third party aligned and had the ability to give items, which I still don't understand.

How is the cross being a one time use item obvious? IT's a cross. How do you use up a cross? What makes you think that it is one-time use? Is it because you have one?

I don't understand the second part of your post at all. What do you mean that very little is going to happen to our inventories after night 1? What is to prevent thieves from stealing twice, when Yellow Magic's ability allowed him to give out as many items as he wanted?

Or, if you don't like relying on the thief, just have a cop/tracker on me. They will confirm my innocence pretty fast.
I don't see any reason for someone to want to be able to steal items if they could potentially be harming their teammates. Giving is more positive and third party doesn't have to be bad. Actually, scratch that thievery could be used to save your own skin, and we're not exactly talking about run of the mill townies.

You could use up the magic in the cross. And, I think it's one-use because it could. Does the word COULD have any meaning to you? Basically, it's a gut-feeling.

Considering Yellow Magic was an independent it sort of makes sense that it's overpowered. Since thievery is a stronger power it seems like it would be moderated to some extent.

Plus, maybe the thief doesn't want to reveal themselves or bring attention to themselves. So, in that case, why would they want to help?

And, to be honest, I'm going on mainly a gut feeling.
I like the cop idea better. Quite frankly a thief doesn't sound too terribly town.

Right, I'm questioning why your gut feeling is leaning that way instead of the other way. Why would the cross be a one-shot, when it seems like there is only one chance to use it? There doesn't seem like there would be any chance of a second werewolf attack, so why would it become non-functional?

Well, if you like it better, you're gonna have to unvote. Since I am about two votes away from death.

I'm not taking issue with Yellow Magic being overpowered, I'm wondering why his role centered around giving helpful items to everyone. Makes me wonder what his win condition was.
