I'm thinking of making a game in "Simulation RPG Maker 95".
What i want to ask is this: Does anyone know if it's possible to remove the need for the RTP to play the game?
Let's say I use only custom resources (which I plan to), does anyone downloading the game still need the RTP? Do I need to change any files?

I wouldn't know, ever time I try and use it, there's an error.
Go for it. Deleting everything in the BGM, BMP, and EFS folders won't affect other people's ability to run the game at all. SRPGMaker95 doesn't have the same must-have RTP issues that all other makers since have had.
Though you might want to keep some things there until you have suitable replacements.
e : You can get it here : https://rpgmaker.net/media/content/users/6639/locker/SimulationRPGMaker95Value.rar

Thanks alot, that really makes me happy to hear. It will probably be hard enough to get anyone to play the game without having to install stuff.
Ah what the heck, I already made a thread so I might as well ask another question. Pyrodoom mentioned he had alot of problems with the program, is that a common occurence?

I don't remember what the error said, I think it said I was missing something, like some kind of file or folder that would let the program run. Been a while since I used it, because I wasn't going to take my time in trying to find it, so I deleted the program. If someone knows what I'm talking about, and can help me, maybe I'll download it again.
pyrodoom: Maybe you just had a bad download? I got mine from here, and have not run into any problems so far:

There were one or two failed attempts at bringing Sim RPGMaker 95 to the English RM community sometime in the early-mid 00s. I remember having trouble getting one of them going too, and they wound up only being partially translated anyway. I'm going to assume pyrodoom had trouble with one of them.
The one translated by EC at RPGCrisis never gave me beef (except my current font woes).
I also have two games with a total of 203 downloads between them. Not one "can't run it" comment yet.

Splendid, I shall then commence my work on a game in this engine!
Oh, and would you mind linking those 2 games? I would very much like to try them.
Oh, one last question, does anyone know where I can find a tutorial for this program? I don't know HOW it works, whatsoever.

Try the help file. It's located in the "Help" folder wherever you installed the program.

Don't expect much. They were both made in a short time for last year's and this year's RMN Bday event.
edit : Also, the guy who wrote the help file is the strongest and most awesome guy in the world.
