NORDIC MYTHOLOGY SHORT STORIES

I am kinda tired of working on big projects for the time being, so I have come up with a little bit of a fun project I can work on. Basically it goes like this: I make a set of short stories into a series of games.
Now obviously the stories is going to need at least a common topic. I am really fascinated by nordic mythology, especially trolls, so I choose this topic.
Nordic trolls are really different from how they are depicted in movies and games today, by the way, read this:
http://fantasycreatureencyclopedia.blogspot.se/2008/05/troll-norse-mythology.html
Now to my problem: I can't find that many stories, except for a few classics, like "The changeling".
Obviously not all the stories would work as games, either.
I am going to try to write a few stories myself, but I would much prefer someones else's work.
So I ask this, does anyone know of a collection of relatively short stories with nordic mythology in them, especially with trolls and/or other magic creatures? (I am aware of "Bland Tomtar och Troll, but can't find them anywhere).
I don't mind stories not professionally written, heck I wouldn't mind if someone here wrote them.

In my experience, Nordic stories tend to be quite long.. not that I've really read very many of them, but the ones I have done were complicated and not really too suitable for short games.
Are you sure you're set on Nordic mythology for this? I think that's possibly one of the most difficult themes you could have chosen to find short stories on. XD I tried Googling around, and I honestly couldn't find a single story.

Doesn't really matter if they are complicated, I'm confident I can make most stuff work, if I just have something to work with.
I wouldn't even mind making something like a "movie-game".
Seems like finding stories is a no-go. I've searched for some for several hours now.
So, uh... Would anyone be interested in helping out with writing one? I'll be trying to write myself, but to be honest storywriting is not my thing at all.
I doubt I could help with the writing, sorry, but I dug up a few things from Google that may offer a little bit of help:
Thor and the Midgard Serpent
The Death of Balder
Thor in Vinland
A site containing various other tales
Norse mythology is open to interpretation, so it might be difficult to make into something more visual like a game. I'd certainly like to see you try this, though, even if it's only loosely based on the original stories!

Wow, those links are great! Especially the first one, which linked to a treasure throve of short stories about trolls and Norwegian folktales. (http://www.pitt.edu/~dash/folktexts.html).
Thanks alot!

Another thing you could use is Microhorror. As they can't be any longer than 666 words, they'd be perfect for basing a miniseries on.

Of course, you'd have to get permission from the authors before using their work in a game, I imagine. I've got a few on there (John Paul Clifford) which you can use freely if you wish.
