CloseWell, I didn't really want to protect Gourd (or anyone) in the first place, since the chance of me killing them was high, but you paired me up with TBG over the same reason that Gourd gave, and since you suspected Gourd and didn't want him paired up with another of your suspects, it made sense to interchange them since TBG wasn't on your list and could serve as another buffer.
Personally, I think I might be right about the mis-protection. I don't think everyone knew that it'd changed, so there is a chance it may have happened. But we'll see when Dudes shows up.
And no, we confirmed I was CPR with the simple fact that no-one died on the first night (when a CPR would have unless attacked). Hence I had to be CPR because no-one else claimed being attacked and I was still alive, verifying both my being attacked and being CPR. So your ridiculous thought about me being mafia is just that, ridiculous.
The insane might have been protected from his own insanity by his/her partner. We'll have to hear back from everyone about their PMs before we can judge.
Also, do we know for sure that mafia haven't got roles themselves? We know they aren't doctors, but does that mean they're role-less? Maybe, maybe not. It's something to consider.

Who cares if no one claimed it. The fact that gourd IS town AND said he got locked up means nothing to him being 'paranoid'.

Paranoid doctors lock up their patients. It's a known fact. Hence, why we all considered him paranoid as well. Then after a day or so Gourd pipes up saying his PM said the same.
Now, personally I thought one of them was lying about the PM flavour since my PM said nothing about locking the door on the first night.

But no-one did, which means no-one was. Thus, I was proven to be attacked. There's still the possibility Gourd was in fact the paranoid, and mafia targeted him.
I protected him, yes. But until we hear back from Dudes, at least, to confirm or deny whether he went with the original plan, we don't know for sure. Pointing fingers at the moment won't do us any good. We need to hear from everyone. Who knows, someone might be able to glean something from their PMs that could clear up this mess.

I think there is some misunderstanding as to what the paranoid doctor actually does. I do not know if it is not explained adequately in the OP or if I am just unable to follow this discussion due to my superior aryan genetic material

Doesnt the paranoid doctor lock away its target, and the target will be immune to any night action but it gets roleblocked too?

I hope that's all it is - but my PM text said I was doing my rounds which doesn't indicate being locked up.
Since you said you didn't get locked up and youre 'cpr', then that's basically saying you've killed him.
