Robert Chase's eyes opened, a brilliant green emanating from them. A low, gutteral laugh tumbled out of his mouth As the two doctors made a move to attack him again. It quickly became apparenty, however, that Chase could not move with the scalpel violating the vent in his head. Indeed, he seemed to be having great difficulty speaking at all.

"Too easy. But not as easy as it was to turn you lot against each other. You see, DOCTERs, it is not the SNATCHER threat that did evil t-t-t-today. The death of Who, Strangelove, Keisuke, even the great doctor Jones, all perpetrated by human failure. Can you not see it?" He laughed again, trying and failing to move.

"All controversy begins with doubt. We never even had to kill you. No, that was just an afterthought. The only thing necessary was to make you mistrust each other. This little setback will not stop us. We may have to recalculate our plans, but this was only a test run. We will send more SNATCHERs to every hospital in the world. The common people will be afraid to get treated for anything, regardless of whether or not they have insurance. No one will be able to be trusted. And in this chaos, they will need leaders to take control of the hospitals. A race of super-beings. Gods."

J.D. Dorian's face remained calm. "You're forgetting one thing. We proved you wrong today. Even a naive daydreamer like me and a peerless loner like him could work together, trust each other, and root out evil. If we can do it, anybody can. Your plan can never succeed. Humanity is not as weak as you think it is. We were able to trust each other in this darkest hour. And trust is the greatest weapon against doubt."

Chase seemed at a loss for words. When he finally did open his mouth, it was only to be interrupted.

"That's all, Chase." Dr. House grimaced.

The SNATCHER's face remained still. After a minute, its eyes went out for the very last time.

The officials at the Kyoto Summit were contacted immediately and informed of the situation. The launch was aborted. The hospital was saved. But the fight was not over. There were still SNATCHERs out there. Still a war to be fought.

But for now, at least, they could rest. The two walked out of Estonian General Hospital. It had been a long and tiring five days. Perhaps a meal of Neo Estonian Pizza could be arranged?...

If I were to go back in time and do this over I would probably just make it so that if you don't send in a night action you straight up lose your protection abilities. Or die. As it was the penalty for not doing anything was a little too convoluted/insignificant, I think.

INTERESTINGLY...I ran this setup on a different forum alongside this one, but I did not tell anyone in that game what doctor roles existed. and also you could not elect to protect nobody. I did not have any problems with receiving night actions in that game and the scumteam destroyed the town on day 4.

I think this game might have had a different ending had the scumteam not targeted Liberty on night 1. Boy was that unlucky.

I can't believe you weren't policy-lynched really early on.
