It's that kind of predictable response that you do. Just... stop man.

YOU may be like that. Some people enjoy pointing out flaws more than they do working on their games. It puts them on a pedestal. It is a giant sign that says, "Hey, I know my shit!" You can deny this. You can try at least. But I've seen it oh so many times. You can come up with justifiable-BS on how this is inaccurate. But it is oh so very true.

EDIT:

You know, in retrospect... this place is NOT worse than Gaming World... if compared to Gaming World at it's peak. But... it's pretty comparable to GW when GW was starting up and people were learning RM, and Bart was still relying on the RM community as a whole to jump start his "empire" before they decided to renounce it.

I may not have approached my message in the best way... but damn near ALL of the responses in this thread is a carbon copy of the early days of GW. If any of you remember that, you would know this. Granted I started it... but the retaliation is the same. It was no "turn the other cheek"... it was a dead replica. Yeah, you push people they push back.

So... Maybe we are ALL really just the same shit all over again... regardless of how hard we try to state we are better than the ones who came before. Maybe GW was normal after all judging by how this all turned out?

When someone criticizes your work, it is not healthy to delete the files and generate a rage topic about how much the place sucks just because it doesn't get you.

#1: I have not received a single criticism on my work at this website. So whatever it is you are implying is failing to connect.

#2: There is no rage topic, this begs me to thank you for reinforcing my earlier point about people posting without reading what they are jumping into. So... thank you.

What's "baseless" is your statement that it is baseless. Because I HAVE seen it. And you stating that you agree about people nitpicking, and stating that the above is "baseless" as if you haven't seen it as well... do not mesh together very well.

As someone whose been here for ~2 years now, there's no malice or jealousy behind anybody's nitpicking.

There is no jealousy. There is no malice. It is most likely one unconsciously. But that does not take away from the fact that it is there. So that point is irrelevant.

You say that people simply judge by what they see, without realizing it's part of a bigger picture. Perhaps I'm doing the same thing... I'm judging the way people are judging. I only see it the way it is presented... and not seeing all of the "I only meant to help" motives that lies beneath.

I mean, I am, afterall, criticizing SOMETHING, right? Why is it that you can criticize someone's hard work so harshly, and I cannot criticize the way you criticize?

edit : Oh, what I originally meant was : A week from now, after this thread's been locked, and we're all doing our own RM thing, nobody will remember that you were picking fights anybody who would bite. You'll post a gamepage and some screenshots, people will muddle in and say "looks good man... but you missed a spot". You'll either shrug it off or obsess over it like I do. Life will go on.

And no, that's not how it works. People remember. The fact that you bothered to post your thoughts here shows it is something that stirred a portion of your brain. Nobody says "Hey, I don't give a crap, therefore I will take the time to tell you so" and actually mean it. What you just attempted there was already attempted 2 or three times above your post... I simply did not point it out. You know this is ACTUALLY studied in Social Economics? People do it, without realizing that others are keen on the fact that they are doing it. In a nutshell, it is a subtle way of stating how inconsequential the other person is to you.

You are just failing left and right. Stop.

You are trying to get me to defend it... but I see no need. Because the better question is... why don't you show me a post by ANYONE that bashed my screenshots, that could possibly prompt me to go on a rampage and cause me to delete my screenshots. Show me just ONE. Just ONE.

Please post a link to where people are saying this to ME. I observed them, they were never directed to me. And if you were paying attention, in my original post I stated "I feel it is my turn"... can you piece that together?

Quote any spot in this thread where i stated these things were said to ME before. And pay attention to the time stamps so you can be sure none of them were edited after the fact. Try again, LockeZ.

Uh. If you're the only one as far as you know who doesn't appreciate something, and no one's done it to you... then you have no reason to complain about it.

Incorrect. It doesn't have to be done to ME... for me not to appreciate it. I don't appreciate it when elitist pricks bash those who are too meek to speak for themselves... and end up never allowing their work to see the light of day because they are too afraid of what bashing they might receive.
