PICTURE STACKING FOR THE FRONT PAGE
Posts
author=DyhaltoOh man, major déjà vu. Personally I think stacked images is good in theory, but due to programming costs I would rather see the money going towards making the site better overall.
In the news today, the guy who inadvertently started this hubbub canceled his project a few days after the big image dump.
I wonder if he even knows this thread exists?
Maybe in future topics with regards to user feedback, using the poll function wouldn't be such a bad idea. It would let the staff be able to see what everybody else thinks or wherever it's important enough to warrant further investigation before acting.
And of course no one is forcing the admins, they can say no. But it's the point of suggesting pointless stuff to begin with that gets me
Infection, do you realize that whether something is useless or not is a matter of opinion, not a universal fact?
Do you realize that it sounds pretty rude to qualify someone else’s ideas as useless?
Can you see how something which is useless to you might not be useless to everyone? New ideas are never considered useful by 100% of the members, no matter how good the idea.
I don’t mind people disagreeing with me, that’s certainly their right to do so. For instance, I often disagree with Kentona on a lot of topics but we never seem to feud about it and it’s probably because he doesn’t dump sarcastic replies or tries to dictate other people as to what they should they or think.
I don’t understand where you come to the conclusion that it’s extra work for the admin. I’m sure you’ve seen suggestion boxes in public places before, do you bark at people who submit things in there? Since when did providing feedback (which is asked for) became spitting in the face of the admin? Feedback is meant to make things better, if anything, it’s far from detrimental to admin, quite the opposite really. Can you explain this to me?
Also, can you explain how we should proceed when giving feedback? Should I PM you my suggestion first to see if you approve of it (don’t think it’s useless) before submitting it here? I mean it’s just a rhetorical question here as it would be pretty silly to do so don’t you think?
I’m just really curious to understand your point of view. See, you might say I’m kind of looking for some feedback on your part. The thing is, I don’t agree with you but I’d like to know what you think because, you know, I don’t think it’s useless.
@Darken:
As for ignoring Ankylo, I once again suggest doing a bit of research as you have a very, very limited perspective here (I’m struggling real hard to remain tactful here as otherwise I’d probably say that should mind your own business as you have no clue what you’re talking about). You’ll find that every singular one of his interactions with me involve variations of the same old stale sarcastic comments. Considering that I did not once disrespect him in any way, shape or form in the past (except perhaps for that ignore function screenshot which just happened just now), I think ignoring his further participation around rmn is only natural as I can’t really see anything worthwhile reading on his part but more repetition of the old. I don’t know how you deal with those people but far from me the idea of lecturing you about it (wink wink).
So yeah, I'd say you're pretty damn right in saying he's got his share of faults and if he minds so much about being sent to the Netherworld, he can always PM and we can sort something out.
EDIT: @StarSkipping: Yes, polls would be a good idea.
