Whoop~!
No word on actors or a director yet, so speculation is go! Personally I'd love to see David Hayter reprise his role and Harry Lloyd (Viserys Targaryen from Game of Thrones) as Liquid Snake. What about you guys?

Well without a director or actors or probably even a writer it seems this exact thing has happened at elast twice before and fallen through.
So... I'm not sure it's going to happen. But considering it's by the producer of the Bratz movie we know it's in safe hands.

Avi Arad's produced much more than the Bratz movie, dude. See: most superhero blockbusters from the last decade (although YMMV regarding quality, they're all big-big-budget)
He was also responsible for Venom in Spider-Man 3 I hear. Seems he's picking up franchises by the bucketload. Apparently he's also producing Uncharted, Mass Effect and Infamous adaptions.
Also what the hell, though maybe it's awesome.

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Yeah. He's the CEO of Marvel Studios, which is Marvel's film studio, and has produced every Marvel movie since 1993. Though he's not the director of the MGS film, nor is he a director at all. He's just the guy who is providing the money.
Well, I like espionage movies, so I'm hopeful about this one. My own experience with the Metal Gear Solid franchise (having only played MGS2) is that it's so ridiculously bizarre that I really just kind of hope the movie has nothing to do with the Metal Gear Solid storyline at all. I don't really want to learn 2/3 of the way into the movie that the previous 35 plot twists were all lies, and the truth is that every single person Snake has ever met was an artificial intelligence, and the enemy soldiers he thought he all killed are still alive because they're vampires created by a secret government vampirism program in the 1960s who now control every aspect of human civilization.

Metal Gear Solid 1 is the only one with a storyline that's worth noting. And it is the single best (one encased event) spy drama of all time.
That Targaryen chump ain't got what it takes to play Liquid. What we need is a Stark.

author=SauceMGS3 would make a killer movie. Totally Rambo. Just rip out the filler sneaking around, really.author=LockeZMetal Gear Solid 1 is the only one with a storyline that's worth noting. And it is the single best (one encased event) spy drama of all time.

Also, I hope this movie is centred on the movie. Or maybe a mission with Snake we haven't seen, similar to Ghost Babel.
But fanboys and girls, prepare to be disappointed somehow. Because, really... David Hayter doesn't fit the face of Snake, and there's no way they could squeeze the whole twisted plot of any of the games onto the bigscreen. Not even if they went to Lord of the Rings length, or trilogy. It just won't happen.

EDIT: I forgot to add: a 'buff' Harry Lloyd
That was my first thought after David Hayter, but he's a bit old now :(
Michael Fassbender could be an awesome Snake or even Liquid? I do hope they decide to go with the originals storyline.

kurt russel as snake.

They could go with Gerard Butler since he was supposed to play him in the remake so he could just as well play it in the movie adaption of the game, which had the character he was going to play in the original's remake!
