Anybody here like the first transformers movie. I quite enjoyed it and am looking forward to seeing the new transformers movie that will be hitting the screens sometime in 2009. Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg are returning as director and executive producer respectively for Transformers 2. Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Tyrese Gibson, Jon Voight, and Peter Cullen will return. Isabel Lucas has joined the cast, and Soundwave will be introduced as well. Overall it may seem far away but this should be as epic as the first one was.

So, what are your thoughts on this upcoming film or just discuss the first if you really want to.

First one wasn't really that epic as you say but it was an enjoyable watch, I thought it was gonna be a bit darker instead of this almost teen inspirational movie thing. I think the sequel will be better since they've gotten past the introduction of most of the Auto Bots and what not, it's just now up to how Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg do with this now.

I'm hoping for Soundwave. He was awesome.

I wonder what the plot will revolve around this time, since the Allspark is gone?

Well, i don't really care about Michael Bay but i have always enjoyed steven spielburg's films and his doing just about any of the top films these days.

Transformers was a terrible film and I pray to God that this sequel never sees the light of day.

I liked the Tranformers movie. It succeeded in including dorky information that made me happy without being too dorky for other people I know to appreciate it. I liked the fact that I could go watch it with friends that were unfamiliar with Tranformers and they liked it despite the silly concept, while meanwhile I could enjoy all the little fan service moments.

I do think that Optimus Prime's flame decals were horrible though..!!!

I thought the first one was quite bad, not awful but I was so bored I didn't even finish it, not even Micheal Bay's countless explosion scenes could safe this one. In my experience most sequels are worse with the exception of a small handful, but I guess we'll see.
