MOON-HOAX HOAX

(This thread is a spinoff from the MARS LANDING thread. It appears that some people are mistaken about the moon landings...)
So moon landing was faked, was it? Right...
Linking to Phil Plait's blog should be enough to convince anyone who is skeptical:

The moon landings were real, guys. I'm surprised anyone here thinks otherwise.
My conclusion? Quit watching Fox.

Some people just want to believe that some hoaxes are real. That want to be in the minority - the few people who know "the truth." It's in the same vein as "911 was an inside job."
It's basically knee-jerk reactions and paranoia that can create problems when anything bad/interesting happens. Just try to keep a cool head, and think things through before crying foul and pointing fingers!

Well look at the fucking evidence dude there was a lot more to the attacks than the crashing of planes into skyscrapers.
Anyway
Yeah the moon landing was probably real. If it were a fake I am 100% sure the Soviet government would have figured that out and made a big story of it years ago.
Mr. Abley hit the nail on the head for the "moon hoax" theory. Since neither the U.S.A. or U.S.S.R. could actually destroy the other civilization without risking their own, they basically spent the next half century after World War II in a big pissing contest for who was the greatest superpower. Space was the most visible evidence of this - and the Soviets actually beat us to the punch in many categories. If the moon landing was a fake it would have been easily detectable at the time and the Soviets would have had a field day with it. Instead they just manned up, accepted their temporary defeat, and then built the first space station and sent the first probes to Venus and Mars.

They obviously needed more candy bars and penis . . . . . . . . . .
Only difference between us and them re: the space race...
They may have beat us to the punch on several fronts, but we were still mowing our green lawns, eating our beef and corn and fresh fruit and sipping our wine and driving our cars.
USA! USA! USA!

A lot of good that did us. Now Americans are terribly overweight, have a high level of alcoholism and have an oil and fuel effiency problem.
Mowing lawns is awesome though.

It's better than living in a country whose economy whose tentpoles are propane trading and the mail-order bride industry.
Instead we live in a country who mail-orders said brides.
Lol, so, I was making that thread I said I would make if people wanted me to (it would be evidence AGAINST the moon landing) however I needed to download real player in order to watch a video. Without even thinking about it when prompted, I closed all browser windows... D'OH. Anyways, I'll get around to it. I have a lot more evidence against the moon landing than anything of which has been said here.

Of course he doesn't. You just can't beat wikipedia. They are the ultimate source for information. Speaking of the moon hoax i used to believe it was a hoax but that was when i was younger. I had some quite useful essays on this.
Obviously they sent a woman up to the moon and had her take a big picture, then they used Photoshop and Macromedia Flash to superimpose the men in space suits.

... as long as we're not talking anything with political significance.

Actually you can trust Wiki for that because the number of people who want to maintain nuetrality is greater than the number of people who want to sabotage the article. Furthermore anything that is politically relevant (such as condidates right now) is locked and can't be edited.
Seriously 100% of the anti-Wikipedia sentiment is entirely ridiculous and lame. There are a few things I hate about Wikipedia (citation needed) but seriously it is the most amazing thing ever. Also check the fucking sources if the article seems suspicious god.
911 was a inside job no dought if you watch the video close the building fall's after what look's like a strong blast from the inside went off.
I might believe you if the controlled demolition of two of the most massive buildings in history being masterminded by George W. Bush didn't seem hilariously implausible. The guy can barely tie his own shoes.
The president is not in charge of this crap it's the government the president has limited control compaired to the goverment.
I really enjoy conspiracy theories because I like being a bit of a looney and they make the world seem more interesting, but I'm a bit depressed to find that like none of them actually make any sense if you actually examine them with any rationality at all. I want to believe in this nonsense the same way I want to believe in UFOs and El Chupacabra. But the world keeps providing much simpler and more sensible explanations, out of spite, and as looney as I am, I can't help but lean towards answers that don't require huge leaps of faith.
It would be so wonderfully naughty of our government to fake the moon landing and lie to us for generations....but these people can't keep secrets. Hell, when was the last time you saw anything kept secret for more than about a year or two? Even when large sums of money are dedicated to keeping things under wraps, leaks hit. If it were possible to buy competence and discretion, you don't think Microsoft would be able to keep key details about their products under wraps?
Except when it comes to things like electricity, where it's clearly the work of demons, or possibly fairies. But since that's a simpler explanation than all this Tesla nonsense, at least I feel like I'm being consistent.
