You are sayings things that aren't even true now, LockeZ. At 85 Defense TriSlash does 3 damage and Smash does 66. This is discernible. It is the exact contextual scenario where you don't even want to use TriSlash because it is so weak by comparison.

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

OK, I was looking at the graphs with buffs and debuffs active because apparently I have ADD and ignore the words and only look at the pretty pictures, I guess without buffs/debuffs the same thing happens around 55 def

Right. 55 defense is basically smack in the middle. A monster with mid-tier defense has 52, so close enough. Against an average enemy your viable combat actions are -supposed- to expand. It's against an average enemy where you can use the attacks of your choosing and dictate the pace in combat.
