You can try getting a decrypter to decrypt your game version. I know there are decrypters for games made in RPG Maker XP and VX. Not sure if a decrypter exists yet for games made in RPG Maker VX Ace, but you can try googling for it.

I tried the encrypter. It gave me a .rvproj2, but when i tried to open it, it said 'failed to load actor data'.

Don't just click the "Generate Game.rvproj2" button. Go up to the Tools menu and choose Extract All Files. The .rvproj2 file is actually identical for every game!

When someone buys a gun we don't ask them "are you going to use it to kill a person?", let's give everyone the benefit of the doubt.
To be fair, I'm asking that because of white_shiba's post history. There's a number of posts asking users to translate their game into Portuguese. I have no issue with that, and can largely see a reason why a non-encrypted version of a game would be preferred for a translator.
I guess what I really want to relay here is that if white_shiba was given an encrypted version of another person's game for the purposes of translation, they may want to ask the author if they can have an unencrypted version, rather than go looking for a decrypter.
*Edit: If it's for their own projects, a Google search relays a lot of hits for encypting MV games, but nothing about decrypting them. I don't see anything in relation to either encrypting or decrypting 2K3.

i think this is hilarious in light of the recent encryption topic
why bother encrypting when it takes less than five minutes to undo it? such a shitty job from enterbrain (especially since it still doesn't encrypt audio iirc)

If it's your own game, someone can probably do it for you or find a de-crypter, for translation (which I'm like 90% sure it is) you should really just ask the owner of the game to give you text files of it or a de-crypted version!

I'm not sure what's worse: that this topic is three years old and only in the recent posts thanks to white_shiba's necropost, or how absolutely right you are.
author=MarrendMarrend, the games that I crave translate were allowed me will by its creators properly. If you want, I'll send you the links in private conversations that contains authorizations.
I almost hate to ask, but, are the games your looking to decrypt... your own?
I really need to decrypt the games rpg 2003 and mv, but will not "decrypter".
Besides which, as you said, I would have asked about a decrypted version of the game to the author, and that's what I did, and she told me that the game was not encrypted, and that I could handle it, but it looks like it I was wrong, or my 2003 rpg version does not match the game in question.
I'm sorry if I offended anyone.
The author I refer to would be my dear lady "bleet" who gave me permission to translate two of his incredible games. I hope she does not get upset because I have it mentioned in this topic.
