The entire reason its illegal in the first place is BECAUSE its a download. But in all honestly the legality of RM2K is completely irrelevant. Go ahead and DL it.
I can assure you the chances of anyone getting 'caught' is astronomically low, I doubt anyone even really cares in practice. Just keep the fact that you're DLing it on the down low and there won't be any problems.

Any legal versions would be in Japanese as it was never legally translated to english.

There's no real legit way to get RM2k/3. I suppose you could buy the Japanese version to feel better about yourself, but using an English hack is of questionable legality anyway. There is certainly no legit 'download'.

What exactly are you trying to achieve here? Finding a DL of RM2K is about as easy as finding a quarter in your couch. Just go ahead and DL it, it doesn't matter from where.

None that I know of. Oh, wait. There was that one guy who had the Japanese version and was looking for an English patch. That was on some other site, somewhere. (ie: can't remember)
