RMN DROPBOX INTEGRATION TESTING
Posts
i don't know what dropbox is capable of, so it's hard to say anything too specific. but maybe something for collaborating or events. where multiple users have access to a single file for uploading and downloading. any kind of control over permissions would be nice.
does dropbox have periodical backups? so if i'm working on my project while it's sitting in my dropbox folder, can it be scheduled to backup to some space on RMN? with size restrictions, perhaps.
that's all i can think of right now.

Dropbox will backup files everytime it detects a change. You delete something, they still keep it. But I don't remember for how long...

What about uploading/updating games on the site
thru dropbox?
This is coming...eventually...
So, uploading games through/from Dropbox is now *mostly* available...those who had the Dropbox permissions added to their account earlier in the year should now see a new "Add from Dropbox" button when managing game downloads for their game. It's not 100% complete though. You cannot edit a download and re-upload from Dropbox. You'd have to create a new download if you wanted to update a download. This will be fixed in the near future.
The only problem I'm seeing with this is Dropbox's bandwith limit and locking down a dropbox account when it does. >_>
I've seen the term DropBox on the download pages and in my account but for the life of me, I still don't know what it is all about or what it does :(
Guess I have to say I'm not a computer nerd like so many on this site :(
I just love this type of game compared to the online and 3D games.....

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Dropbox is a file-sharing website, basically. It's just another way for developers to store their games online and let players download them, especially if the files are too big to put on rpgmaker.net.
If you're downloading games to play, it's no different from any other way of downloading games.
