i am impatiently waiting for a game full of ebonics and southern drawl
"DAAAYMN MAN, WE GOTTA SAVE DEM CRYSTALS YO, SO WE GET 'EM REEZYS FOR JEEZYS, DOG"
^horrible stereotypical gangsta impression
I had a Scottish girl talk like a US valley girl.
I had another UK girl talk like a guy. And in one case, an old man.
Yea, you don't know what you're talking about. Most of the voices in Final Fantasy XII seemed to be actually British-educated Indian (you can tell, if you know what to listen for). For that matter, most US accents are jarring (Jersey, Chicago, Northwest, Deep South, Texas drawl, and valley girl). The only real passable one is called the US Midland Accent.

I usually do my own voice-over work for the films that I make just by speaking directly into my video camera. It has great quality. I usually am the head of my group, writing, directing, etc. and every once in a while I just want to be a follower rather than a leader, so I like doing things like this when I can.
The reason I bring up my method of VA work is because when you rip the audio from the video, it's really great quality once it's converted to MP3 format. I haven't voiced anyone else's character(s) in... well, ever now that I think about it. Skype may give some unwanted static, reverberation or feedback, but if you give me a couple things to say and be as specific about the character(s) as possible, I think I could provide you with a demo. Just inbox me if you're interested.

AGAIN:
ANY US ACCENT IS FINE AS LONG AS IT IS AN US ACCENT. SINCE MY ENGLISH IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO KNOW HOW A US ACCENT REALLY SOUNDS IT NEEDS TO BE A REAL AMERICAN MALE NOT A BRIT DOING AN AMERICAN ACCENT!
Unless they knew otherwise, I'll 99.9% of the US citizens who say Hugh Laurie in House had no idea he wasn't from the US. To be fair, I've heard some really poor US accents by british folk trying their best, as well.
