I CAN'T MOVE UP AND DOWN IN GAMES ANYMORE?

CloseEver since yesterday, in all my RPG Maker 2003 games besides Misao, I can't move the character up and down, I can only move sideways. I really don't understand why? Before yesterday, it worked fine. Now my games that I've had for months, like Ib and Fleshchild, won't let me move up and down at all. I tried the keyboard and the mouse, but no good. Only Misao will let me move freely. How do I fix this? I tried deleting and redownloading RPG Maker 2003, but still nothing.
Okay, now it won't let me move up and down in games I'm making either. I tested a game I was working on and I can only move side to side there too. There must be some error that I'm not seeing, or something I clicked accidentally. Please help?
Do you have a gamepad plugged in anywhere? Have you tried removing and then replugging your keyboard? Tried restarting your computer? Or reinstalling RM?

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

These topics always crack me up for some reason. I'm not sure why. What happens if you use the numpad arrows instead of the regular arrow keys? What happens if you use a gamepad? Does movement work correctly in RMXP or RMVX games?
I actually feel pretty stupid now, since I figured it out and it was easy to fix... I just redownloaded RPG Maker 2003 and then restarted my computer. I never think to try the simple things...

apparently there is some sort of glitch where 2k3 stops recognizing certain keys. this is where cherry would post his 2k3keyboardfix.zip
