A FEW WORDS ON GAME SUBMISSIONS.

The thing is, we have limits for a reason - there are people who would (and in the past, have) posted up their terrible games and moved on, leaving us with horrible games for people to sort through in order to get to the good ones.

And it's not like we're asking for much - decent mapping, three interesting shots (which you should provide anyway if you want people to play your game*) and a short description about your game. That's... really not much to ask.

*You'd think it was pretty self-apparent to put up the best screenshots you have so as to draw people in, yes? I mean, a game page isn't just a place to host your game, but also a place to show-off and advertise it to the rest of the site. Common sense dictates that if your game looks half-decent you'll get a few players, but if it looks amazing/interesting you'll get a freakin' horde. Look at the current new game, Reincarnation for an example. Kickass everything and people are flocking.

We did talk about a sort of seperate area where game profiles that were denied would go, at one point. More of a general Workshop where people could get feedback on what to fix and such. I still think something like that is a good idea, and we do still think about it from time to time. (Of course since you can edit your game profile even when it's not accepted, and the Mod in charge sends out PMs letting people know what they need to fix, and we have the screenshot thread and new Game Description thread, it's not really necessary, is it?)

Also, almost every gamepage that has been submitted recently has instances of "i'll" and "i" instead of "I'll" and "I". It's making me sad, but I'm going in and fixing 'em. I guess some people are part of this new anti-capitalizing-i movement, but those users do it consistently throughout the prose. :)
Rest assured that if it's like that in their games, someone will complain.

I didn't know that I was supposed to be written in capitals until a few years ago... (I never really paid attention to that and since my english is self-taught and "I"s in some fonts look so similar to "i"s...)

Also, in portuguese, "eu" ("I") is written in lower case. I think most languages write I in lower case. So I think it's completely underestandable, uh. >_>

Anyways why am i talking about this omg
Basically because you're referring to yourself, it's equal to a title or name. Of course, then it gets odd when using 'you' to refer to others because, well, it's the same... but not.

Then again, English is a pretty screwy language and hard to learn all the nuances of, even if born into the language, so don't stress. Just keep an eye on your I's and if a red line appears when posted in a spell-checker, fix.
