Hi, um... I've been often looking around here for a few months already, and it's only now that I've decided on joining. You can just call me Caera; I'm 15 years old. I loved writing stories and articles ever since I was in 5th grade, and loved playing RPGs since I was in 6th grade.

I've taken interest in making visual novels last year, at around November. I managed to finish my first VN, Raindrops (back there, Antheia was the username I used), in less than a week; but the artwork was really... not good. >.< Then I tried again on my second one in December (for a supposedly-Christmas themed VN), where I failed (and I guess gave up; for some reason, I got really discouraged at trying to make another VN or trying to improve it).

Well, now, I'm currently learning how RPG Maker VX works, and hoping that I could develop making even just a really short and simple game with it...

(Um, sorry... I wasn't really sure how I'd be introducing myself here...)
oh god I really need to change the size of the "small" font.

Anywho, welcome to RMN! I hope you find RPG Maker VX to your liking and good luck with your games!
What program were you using for your VN?
Hello! Don't worry about how you introduce yourself, just be yourself doing it. Different engines can have varying degrees of difficulty, not to mention that a lot of times, the makers of said engines make it harder than it has to be.

I second this question.

Anyways, the best advice I can give you is this; Persistence is very important to have in this whole gamedev thing, even if its nothing more than the work of a hobbyist. Also, constructive criticism is your friend; don't overlook it or push it aside without second thought.

tl;dr: Don't give up!

Remember when I actually used to make games? Me neither.

Pepsi or Cola?
Furry or Human?
If you chose the latter option on both of those, then we should get along.

Welcome to RMN.
