SPRITE WON'T MOVE!

Ok, so i feel really rubbish as this is the second call for help ive had to post in less than 24 hours, but i'm really stumped! When i transfer my player to a certain tileset, they just don't move when they're on the map!!!! Ive tried eveything i can think of! It's a modern shop tileset downloaded from the official site, ive set it up the way you should, why isnt my sprite moving!? Any ideas? ^^
Is the tile set for directional passage? that would be the first thing I'd check. Also show us some code =)

Yep the directional passages are set!



It's just a simple tansfer player event! There are no other events on the map with the tile set but the player won't move! i really dont get it! ^^

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

My first guess is that you set the "empty" tile in the upper layer to the wrong passability.

In test play, if you hold down Ctrl, can you move? Ctrl is the "walk through walls" key in test play mode. If you can't move with it held down, some event that's running is stopping you. If you can move with it held down, passability of the tiles is stopping you.

Hmm, try transferring to a similar tile? every once in a while my game tester goes nutty and if I change something up I can see what's going wrong. Also try the CTRL thing like Locke said =D
I can't move with Ctrl held down! So there's an event stopping me? I dunno, cause on the map there are no other events, and the only common events running parallel process! I've tried changing the floor to a different tile but it doesn't work! Note that the games running fine on all maps with other tilesets!

Change the map's tileset, and see if it makes a difference.

On the B tileset sheet make sure the top left box is always a star.
ie. It can be circle, ex, or star.
I've changed the map tileset and made every top left square of b c d a star; still doesn't work ^^
for the parallel process common events: one that waits a couple of frames and shows an image, and two events running to check on the state of certain variables. but they don't interfere with the player movement on the other maps it seems!

Can you zip up the project and upload it somewhere so I can take a look?

Double-definitely not the tileset, then. If it's not a common event, it must be a regular event. If there are no events on this map, it must be the event that sent the player to this map. Does the event that teleports the player to this map perhaps disable player movement before it does so? Does it run any other commands after sending the player here?

If you set this map as the player's start point, and start a new game, can you move? If so, the problem is the event that sent the player to this map. If that's the case, and you can't figure out what in that event is causing the problem, take a screenshot of that event and post it here.

If you can't move in this map even if you set it as the start point, then either the problem is a common event, or there actually is an auto-start event on this map and you forgot about it.

You can test to see if its the event that sent you there by just
cutting and pasting your characters starting position. If he
moves then its the transfer, if not then its something in that
room (autorun event or tileset choice, usually cause these problems
for me.)
Ok, so this is really freaking me out ^^ I put the starting position in the map and it works! It can't be the common events as they don't effect anything on the maps with other tilesets. There are no other events on the map, and here is a screenshot of the event that transfers the player to the map:

SOLVED!

So i found out how to fix it! You'll notice that in the first screenshot on the tileset i hadn't set anything on the A2 and A3 layer. I did this, even though i don't use them in the map, it's now working! Thanks for all your help guys! Means a lot!
Sometimes it's the simplest things that make us flail the most...
