FAVORITE GAME SHOWN AT E3 07
Posts
So what was YOUR favorite game shown? I'd have to say mine was Metroid Prime 3. Just seeing it actually up and running and nearly finished made me skip a few beats.
Runner up is Super Mario Galaxy. Bee Mario is the bomb!

Mine would probably have to be Lost Odyssey if only for the fact that, prior to this E3, I wasn't at all interested in this game, whereas I am now looking forward to it. I don't think any other video shown at E3 has gotten me excited for a game that I was not already interested in.
Seeing as how I only watched the Nintendo conference, I'd have to say Super Mario Galaxy. It looked wicked cool (and who wouldn't want to be a bee?)

Mario Kart Wii for me.
This. It was the only "new" game brought to my attention that I felt genuinely excited about - even though I had an assumption it was going to be shown anyway. I'm not a lot more hyped for Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Metroid Prime 3, or Super Mario Galaxy than I was prior to E3, to be perfectly honest about it.
Some of the PS3 titles (namely Lair, SC4 and MGS4) looked great as well. Bundled with the price cut, I may consider those reason enough to buy one.

You mean the PS3 clearance sale on the old 60 GB units? After the dust settles, we'll be back to one sku (80 GB) at $599.

Yep. I have absolutely no sensible reason to even consider buying the 80 GB version of the console. So-- if I do decide to buy it, I suppose it will have to be sooner rather than... later.
I'd never heard of Assassin's Creed before (I live in a basement,) so seeing a video of it made me excited for it. I already knew I wanted Halo 3, MGS4, etc.

Metal Gear Solid 4
nuff' said.
(but SMG was a close second)
MGS4 was my favorite too, yeah, but I still won't plop down all that cash to play the game. Much better to just borrow it over the weekend or something!
Metroid Prime 3 looked amazing on so many levels. I'm loving the bloom lighting and the overall art direction, which is closer to Prime 1 than Echoes. The controls also have me excited. I mean they really are going to push console FPS forward. The one area where you use the grapple beam and ride on rails is genius. Other than that, Assasin's Creed, BioShock, and MGS4 also look great.
MetalGearSolid 4 for me. I've always been a big fan of the series (see my ava). I watched the new trailer for it and it left me in total aw.
author=Zohaib link=topic=132.msg1979#msg1979 date=1184561558I'm really hoping the controls are as amazing as people are claiming.

Yeah, I hope so too. Video demos from E3 seem promising enough but I won't be convinced until I've tried it. But more than that I wish the game has some creative worlds to explore similar to Super Metroid and the original Metroid Prime. Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, while a good game, had some boring areas to venture through. Too much purple.
I read on one Metroid Prime 3 feature on some gaming site that there's very little backtracking in the first few levels. I hope they're either wrong or that the trend doesn't stick with the whole game, I wouldn't want a Metroid game divided into distinct 'stages.'
author=Mr. Y link=topic=132.msg2085#msg2085 date=1184912501The intro doesn't have any backtracking, but Metroid intros rarely do. I'm pretty sure the hour of gametime that was split into two small areas isn't good evidence of what the game plays like.
