HOW MUCH TIME?

How much time do you have to create your games? Does things such as work, school etc get in your way?

For me, work plays a big part in this. Often when i get home i will either be too busy or too tired to work on my game but lately i have been trying to fit at least 1 or 2 hours a day working on it. Other things that can stop my progress include television (watching anime) plus going out with friends to pubs etc.

So, how much time do you have?
Like 15 mins a week...maybe.

I'm working like crazy and I'm moving into a new house. Plus, I'm busy bringing people on this forum in line (quit posting DD!)

Yeah, that will probably happen to me soon enough. Time is running out for me as well. Most of my visits to RMN now come from work. :(

From now until late July, I'll have a billion hours per day. Yay!

But once the new job starts, probably won't be RPGmaking much.
Depends on my motivation. Or whatever's going on. I've been in beta for two months, so I haven't really been able to do a lot.
When school was in and I was still actively working on it, the average was probably around 2-3 hours everyday. I would phase in and out of motivation, so the actualy work time ranged from 0-7 hours on a weeknight.

As for the weekends that I do stuff on, it's pretty much everything. I made a pretty complex 70 map dungeon over one weekend. Probably about 30 hours total. Wake up early, work on it every minute, go to sleep around 3 in the morning. Six hours later, repeat.

Yeah, I'm pretty obsessive sometimes. I still sleep way too much. Six hours.... Needs to be two.

1-7 hours a week, probably will increase due to summer vacation
At the moment, the only responsibilities I have are a dog and housework, so I have quite a few hours. Don't use them as much as I should, though. :(
An hour or two a week. I used to work many hours a day but I just can't anymore. In fact, the demo of my game was created in a couple weeks.
Almost none anymore. Lately, though, I've been taking my laptop to work and doing some work during my lunch hour. At home I have hardly any time at all.
Motivation, as does for nearly everyone, plays a big part in the amount of time I put into my game a day, and since I usually have a lot of free time, it can be a lot sometimes. When I'm motivated, I'll spend almost every waking minute I have on the damn thing. When I'm not, I'll probably occupy myself with playing video games or something until I get motivated again.

Right now, I'm kind of stuck in between the two, so I work on it a smidgen when I'm not playing other games.
The only reason I don't work on it too much is because the part I'm at is a little overwhelming (stats, yay). But, I'm doing some, at least. Every once in a while.

My main problem is that I'm stuck on a Mac for a while till I get my external HDD, my MacBook, and a copy of WinXP to install on thus said MacBook. Once that happens, everything'll be kosher.

Making a CBS, Trance?
Well, I potentially COULD have around 4-5 hours a day. he problem is right now I am woring on a story, and can't come up with a name. Most of it is figured out from there.

Making a CBS, Trance?
Nah. I'm actually not lazy and want to set every character's stat curve to just the way I want it instead of using the "quick curve" tool. I'm still pissed off that I can't modify individual "experience to get to level (x)" levels, meaning that if I want a huge spike at the end, I have to make it so that it takes, say, 2500 XP just to get to Lv. 2. Not fun at all.
I work maybe 30 hour's a week, but I work at a video game store so I get inspiration for my game by seeing game's and talking about them with my co-worker's.
I'm 22 so I don't go to school, And ofcourse I put in about 20 hour's of gameing a week... But I only play rpg's, and I gatter inspiration from those game's to.
The rest of the time I'm ether writeing my story out on paper, or i'm working on maps etc etc etc... so you could say I have not stopped working on my game. I've become a mad man when it come's to my game...that's why you will not see nothing about it till it's done. I'm a perfectionist... But you all seem very cool and true rpg fan's, and I'm very excited to show my game to you.
An hour or three a day I guess, i'm usually juggling a fair few things at once. Any time I do have is often spent writing the script and dialogue on paper, then editing and re-editing. when it somes to putting it on RPG Maker I avoid it like the plague. I could easily squeze more hours in but I don't.
All the time. RPG Making is my life. When I sleep I recite several variables and switches I made before. Sometimes when I go outside I can SEE the chip-set panels throughout the neighborhood. Having a social life is overrated, especially when your friends don't even know how to do a fork condition with variable implementation.

I shall be the greatest RPG Makerer who ever lived.
Then when you have finished your ultimate game nobody cares because all the cool kids now are using RPG Maker Zero Max XTREEME. :P
