Ah. It might also help then to actually have steep terrain. I couldn't climb Tucumcari because it was off limits, so I took a bunch of faux-dramatic pictures at flat elevation.

Still, for tiny characters it sorta looks impressive. Until, well, yea you see the horizon. But in theory you could be coming down a steep hill. Also has horizon. The key seems to be less about the horizon, more about the slope (which, yes, still sucked since all the tilt in the world couldn't mask more than 15 degrees of angle)

In which cases, you could combine pictures with parallazes and have some scroll for realistic effects.
I like either as long as they're done right.
