I always had an issue with RPG maker 2003 when making a sprite on paint and putting it together in a template and trying to import the image into RPG MAKER 2003 than getting this error "unsupported png error rpg maker" How do you fix that problem? I know it has to do with the color depth or whatever but what do I need to do to the color of my sprite to by pass this?
This is the image I'm trying to put in.

use a different program. gimp is high end and idraw is low end. i prefer idraw because it's simple to use and it's never given me that problem.
btw, you don't need to use the import function. if you put that file in the projects CHARSET folder, it will be available to use in the engine.

Would you happen to know any programs for windows? I tried putting the sprite into the CHARSET folder but it came out as a black image.
They have to be 256 colours. If they're 16-bit, 32-bit etc. rm2k3 won't import them.

Hey guys I need help! Because I really can't make a perfect sprite.... Maybe you guys can tell me an instant Sprite creating program for RPG 2k3 You know like your just dressing up a character.. Someone told me he just uses paint but I dont know.. Im really Clueless!!
Well I use paint to make my characters then use paint.net to convert them to rpg maker 2003 format. Depends what style do you want to make your characters?

Yeah, when I first started I was horrible lol. You just need to keep trying. It
s like drawing but without a pencil.

Charas EX is a good spriting program for 2k3, but it's not 100% workable. Certain spritesets have limited hair or clothing, so you can't really do an age progression deal.
