If PS4 brings out a new Suikoden I will buy it because I'm kinda crazy like that. Of course, I'll probably finally get one as soon as the PSV comes out because I'm slow like that.

Otherwise I'll stick to my PC and handhelds. Which I still need to upgrade. Hell, I'm still buying games for my PSX and PS2... ^.^;

Remember when I actually used to make games? Me neither.

Neither. Sixth generation is the last good console generation.

The official Xbox Twitter confirmed that was false.

MS is backpedaling and has called it discussing potential scenarios and that they aren't confirming or denying used game fees. So basically more chaff. I'll wait until October or whenever its supposed to come out so there's some concrete information to make decisions about beyond XBONE.

Console games are just too expensive! It's cheaper to be a PC gamer.

They named the new xbox very appropriately because when I saw it I turned One full circle and walked away
...Do I have to be the one to point out that when you turn a full circle you're facing back where you started? Meaning, you turned back to the XBox, not away from it? 180 or 540 is what you really want in order to turn your back on it.
Maybe he's going to moonwalk away from it?
I would pay money to see something like that.
"Hello Sir, here to purchase an XboX360?"
"YOW!"

So other than TV TV TV CALL OF DUTY TV what's special about the Xbox One again?
I think I'll stick with my sight on the Wii U for next gen consoles.
Well you see it will have [REDACTED BY MICROSOFT] and [REDACTED BY MICROSOFT] and I bet you can't wait for [REDACTED BY MICROSOFT] and included/mandatory Kinect*.

* barring redaction by Microsoft

e: Also careful with the WiiU, it looks like there isn't going to be much third party support for it (big fucking surprise). I'd take a "wait and see" approach to see if anything worthwhile comes up and not another fucking New Mario Bros.

I'm going to wait on the Wii U until there's a game for it. From the looks of things, it's going to be a long, long wait.

It's funny, because I actually really liked the first Modern Warfare's multiplayer, and I could totally go for a CoD where you play as a dog and chew terrorists to death in MP.

But my money says that dog will be absent in multiplayer and in single-player is gonna be a decent AI helper at best that inevitably will die for drama - they might as well have Sephiroth fall from the ceiling on it.

Speaking of the Wii U, I would have a blast making party games for that. There's some potential in that controller setup, like a DnD-esque party game where one person plays the dungeon master and the rest desperately try and survive.

But that game already exists... on PC...
I've got a PS2 and a PSP. The one I barely play, despite being in my room. The other is in the living room, and we've neither money nor space to get a new model, if it isn't backward compatible. My take on this might change if they ever got around to putting another Kingdom Hearts on one of the main PS consoles. But I'd likely just play that, some Tales Of series, and the Atelier series stuff.

Xbox from what I've seen of it, is largely war games.

Half this list is either 007, army something, or shooting games. I like cute rpgs, which is why I chose the PS2.

I voted neither, with a bias in favor of the PS.

Neither (and I'm surprised that I'm not the only one). And I'm actually surprised that console gaming is still going on with the advancement of cellular devices and tablets taking over all our lives, and what not. With the technology getting better and better, isn't it time to STOP making new consoles and focus on the handheld markets?
Just because there's a new market doesn't mean that the old market suddenly ceases to exist.

You're right; it's going to take some time before that happens. All of my friends are in the same boat as me: "Why does Console gaming still exists when we have our smartphones to play games with?" And sure, a lot of them still play around with their Xbox's and PS3's, but even they admit that the day is coming. I wouldn't be too surprised if that happens. Until then, enjoy your brand new consoles! Muahahahahaha!!!

I'll say it again. Try playing Street Fighter on a smartphone. Try playing Sonic on a smartphone. Try playing freaking Call of Duty on a smartphone! You'll quickly realize their limitations.
