UUSED GAMS

I never thought I’d say this, but let’s go Capitalism. The people will by what they like better. The consumer dictates the market, not the other way around.
The government should be afraid of its people... Well something like that.

Also note that this tends to be an issue with certain genres. For example people tend to hang on to their RPGs (even crappy ones like FFX-2) but last year's shooters and sports games get turned in all the time.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

There's no such thing as "used digital files"
how the fuck does that even work
how the fuck does that even work
How exactly do you stop people from selling used games?
The last time I checked there was Craigslist and garage sales.
Though if EB wasn't able to sell used games that would
certainly suck. I still think people would find a way
to sell and buy them.
Edit:
I think that would just create a huge business on the
internet for buying and selling used games. And if the
USA made that illegal it wouldn't stop other countries
from selling used games. The net has a huge amount of
power when it comes to this sort of stuff.

uh you keep people from selling used games by making the console connect to the xbox network when you put a game in it, and it checks to make sure that copy of the game has never been installed on any other console
i mean this isn't theoretical, this is what they have done
computer software already works this way, including rpg maker, so i'm not sure why you are confused. the only difference is that instead of having to type in a 600-digit key that comes in your instruction manual, that key is in a file on the game disc, and the system validates it automatically
however, with digital downloads, a.k.a 90% of game sales (will probably soon be 100%), it's even easier for a company to prevent used game sales, because uh, you have nothing to sell. you did not purchase a physical item, so i'm not sure what exactly you would be selling. you can't sell used files because a) what the fuck is a used file and b) you would be selling a copy of what you got, not actually what you got, which has been illegal all the way back since the concept of copyright law was invented
Edit: HOWEVER! I'd like to point out that you can actually resell every single game for the Xbox One. Do not think of the games as individual products: think of them as add-ons for your Xbox. If you sell your system, all the games you have installed to it go with the system. Right? I mean, unless you erase them first.
It's kind of like, once you've applied paint to your house, you can't sell the paint any more. Because it's been applied to your house. You can't peel it off and resell it. But when you sell the house, that paint that you bought and applied is now part of the house you're selling.

If they did that then that would also destroy the ability to
rent games from blockbuster.
And I could see a huge influx in the copy game market.
(Since to use a "Copy" game you first have to modify
the system hardware so it will play the copied games.)
Doing stuff like this only promotes more criminal activity,
which would also equal a loss in revenue for the game
makers.
