For better or worse, the iphone, ipad and ipod touch have taken away a lot from development for console and PC gaming ...

yeah. maybe the dev business has been over saturated since the 80's haha! but that's a discussion for another topic and the end of my interest in discussing it :3
Yeah, it felt like I should have dropped off then top ten markerscore. I've been holding my other positions fairly consistently. Postcount is one thing, but reviews are something different. People need to write more reviews!

I'd say that with the greater demand, more developers are hoping on board to deliver. Nothing has really been taken away from anywhere else. The pot has just gotten bigger, tis all.

keep in mind that a great number of development engines allow developers to release for both mobile platforms and computers, and this functionality is only growing more popular. while there's a very specific MO to most mobile games, it's been growing broader over the past couple of years and with the growing popularity of tablets I think we may see them growing more complex and full-featured as time goes on. mobile games hardly represent some sort of loss for the core game dev community.

sorry i am newbie, just registered, english is not my native language, and i think pc games will keep on forever, at least rpgs ^^, i came around rpgmaker because i remember playing some games like 8 years ago :D , and now i started messing around in the foundry from neverwinter, a free online mmorpg, and just goggled and came to get some tips to help in a quest i am trying to make XD, i would like to request that you guys take a look and maybe "import" (yeah it will give tons of work ^^)some games or mission or anything, because i recognize that lots of good authors made great games here, and it would be cool to play story driven quests there with my char XD, the foundry still have lots of ways to improve, but plz keep an eye on it, sorry if the post seemed disrespectful in any way, i am just sorry for my noob skills, and i hope to play cool missions there also ^^, i will post also (a copy^^) on the general chat.
