It has Will Ferrell, Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman in it.
I don't care if you people think Legos are for kids, but this movie seems pretty fucking awesome. And Legos are the world's most awesome thing, truman fax.
Really brings a nostalgia tear to the eye.

At first glance, this looks like a complete joke and almost doesn't seem real to be true. But piecing things together, this movie looks AWESOME AS F**K!!! So many crossover characters... I mean, who'd thought I would see Michelangelo from the Turtles be in the very same movie as Batman -- freakin' BATMAN!!!
Screw those, I wanna see Johnny Thunder, Brickster and other awesome Lego minifig peeps.
Holy god I haven't seen a full movie done with stop-motion animation in ages, let alone one with Legos. This is it this is the best thing ever!
author=AdditQuit being so needy. You don't require papa kentona's approval for everying. Man up.
I thought I was the "best" thing. :(
:(
author=Ratty524I assumed it was computer graphics done in a way to mimic stopmotion LEGO...?

It might be a mix? That'd be neat. Greenscreen lego film.
Anyway. Awesome idea. I hope this destroys Toy Story.

I thought so too,
A couple of years ago, I sat in on a "making of" press event for "Wallace and Gromit Curse Of The Were Rabbit"(2005) while it was premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival and one of the things they explained to us was that some of the stuff that they're doing in the film, was just too complicated for stop motion alone.
So they had to use a combination of stop motion and I think, computer animation in order to achieve this particular scene; How the rabbits move while floating in mid air in relation to everything else on screen, is just too unnatural for it to be stop motion.
Supposedly, the co-director for robot chicken is also working on this. So whatever special effects they've been using there, they'll probably be using in this film as well.
Either way it looks incredible! I really can't tell the difference!
When I was a kid, I always wanted to buy a ton of castle lego when I got older and dedicate a room in my future house to a massive battle/seige scene. But they don't make regular castle lego anymore ;-; Just that specialized Harry Potter/Star Wars stuff with brand name markings contaminating perfectly good pieces.
This will be a meager consolation.
This will be a meager consolation.
I just watched the trailer -finally-
Wow, that looks like fun! Cloudy with a chance of meatballs people know how to make funny.
They already have my ticket price guarenteed.
