RPG2K3 QUESTION ON PRIORITY

I was wondering how does Priority work within the condition? What's the purpose and how to use it? What are the effects if stun is 98 and sleep is 96?
As far as I know the only thing it does is if a condition is +10 higher priority than other conditions it removes those lower conditions from a character.

Thank you Milennin.
I thought priority was more about visibility. I mean, a character can have multiple status conditions. Like, say, stunned, asleep, and petrified all at the same time. However, only one status condition can be displayed, so it shows the one that has the highest priority. If there is a tie for priority, the one with the lowest ID would display.
Of course, this is a presumption on my part. I don't know if this is what actually happens.

I believe it sorts that by database number. Like, if you have Poison on #5, and Paralyse on #6, and a character is inflicted with both those conditions, it'll show Paralyse - at least it does this for character animations, so I assume it'd be the same for status display.
Milennin's right for conditions removing all other conditions that are 10+ lower than itself and Marrend's right that conditions with higher priority appear on top of lower priority ones. In cases of equal priority... I'm not sure what one it takes. I think its the first one / lower ID#.
Correction: The condition with the HIGHER ID# (i.e. further down in the list of conditions) is shown when two conditions have equal priority.

OK, that is useful to know.
Very much so. Knowing this, you virtually have more than 10 levels of priority for your conditions (at least being shown in the DBS) if you organize them properly in the database list, as opposed only 10 considering the 10-priority difference, before conditions start to become overwritten.
