  • Ok, so you people know how in some games, theres the battlesystem where it shows the face, then has three bars next to it for the characters Health, Magic, And Time? This is similar to the system used in LoreMaster: Rise of Calibur. (Find On RpgMaker.Net )

    P.S. I also have a question about dialogue. How do I make it so that when the main character talks, it says his name?

well for the dialogue part, u can just do what i do, and type

(Charactersname):Hi this is what i am saying

well, something like that lol. You could also just show the characters portrait too when they speak
For the dialogue, \N will do the trick if you plan on changing his name (http://www.rpgmaker.net/forums/index.php?topic=557.0). If you want the name on top above the text, RM2k doesn't have any special way of doing it, so you have to do it manually:

"Bob
I am Bob, the legendary hero lol"

or

"\N
I am \N, the legendary hero lol"

For the battle, I'm not really that familiar with the battle system for RM2k3, but if it's not present normally it's probably a custom battle system (CBS) thing, which is difficult to do, to say the least. You'd benefit from reading some of the tutorials linked to in the tutorials post http://www.rpgmaker.net/forums/index.php?topic=1337.0 (omg id 1337 lol)
You might be talking about the battle layout. Go to Battle Layout in the Database, and check Battle Type. The gauge option is the thing you're looking for - there's also another option, as well.
