A MAN CAN DREAM

And this man's dream is to write for video games.

I'm sure unlike graphic designers and musicians, writers are a dime and dozen these days. But, I for one actually write for a living. I started writing in college when I joined the Artistic Writing course, where the faculty itself specialized in film making. I was set to be a scriptwriter.

After I graduated, I got this job writing articles day in and day out. It's not exactly my dream job, but it pays the bill. I've heard of RPG maker through Steam and I thought to myself that maybe this is a way to fulfill my dream.

While I have zero experience in programming, I dare say that I'm good at coming up with stories, dialogues, premise, characterization, concepts and such. Well anyway, maybe by joining this forum I can one day see my name on the credits of a game.
Welcome to RMN Kadamode! Lol, I can safely say that writing is one thing I'm definitely not good at..but if I do need help with anything (I more than likely will ;A;), it's nice to know there's someone willing to offer it~ :)
Thank you. Is there any section around here where one can "sell" his or her concept out in the open and see anyone willing to do it and/or help?
Why hello there, writer! Have fun looking around and enjoy your stay!

In answer to your question: you'll probably want to post something on the Help Requests & Resources subforum.

The best thing about RPG Maker is that it allows you to concentrate on your strengths. I think that is the key. Make a game that caters to those strengths, allow people to see what you can do, and work from there.
Game Design is also a valid place to put out ideas for feedback. Welcome to RMN! Good luck in your quest!
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Posting your idea to see if other people want to do it for you is not gonna get you anywhere. Fortunately, for the main things people can't do themselves - pixel art, music, sound effects, and complex scripting - it's easy to find free-to-use stuff online.
Thank you everyone. I'll get right on to it.
