CloseWith all the superhero movies out there, there's a lot of speculation on who would win in a fight (since the last Avenger movie had some in fighting.) And fans of comics love to see their favourite hero's go at it.
If you have seen Man of Steel you may know that the next Superman movie will have Batman in it (Since they want to do a Justice League movie.) And fans are saying that Batman will kick Superman's ass (if they fight.) But Angry Joe gives a good reason as to why Superman will kick Batman's ass 9/10 times. (And even though I like Batman better I have to agree that there is little to no reasonable chance of Batman winning this fight.)
Batman has various plans in place to counter Superman in case he ever goes rogue, or crazy, or what have you, which has happened various times in the comic. These range from various workarounds to Superman's abilities to outright just carrying Kryptonite in his utility belt. Superman is aware of this, and generally trusts Batman to take him down in case that ever happens.
In a conflict, Batman wins, simply because there's a lot of checks and balances in place, most supported by Superman himself to ensure that.
In a straight up fight, Superman wins. In a one on one match all factors equal Batman has literally no chance against Superman whatsoever.

If it was two naked dudes in the showers and the towel whips got out of hand, Superman would win.
Otherwise, Batman is too smart and Superman too predictable. Plus, Batman always wins in the canon.
Now if we're talking about Christopher Nolan's Batman, that's a totally different story. The last three Batman movies had the most unintelligent, stupid brute Batman ever conceived. He fell into every trap, had to react to everything after it happened, and unless spoonfed information from the villains, he couldn't get anything out of them except by beating them up and yelling incoherently at them.

Whoever the writers want to win that particular battle will win.
Though in realistic terms, despite Batman's intelligence and tendency to be really, really prepared Superman would probably win since he has high intelligence as well (remember, he has access to Krypton technology and is very proficient in it, and Krypton technology is MUCH more advanced than our technology) and insane strength (not that Batman isn't strong, since the man can lift around half a ton easily, but this is SUPER-strength we're talking here)/a laundry list of super-powers. Though we all know Batman would probably put some Kryptonite somewhere in his suit to help, so the situation would even out quite a bit.

Yeah, like it was said before, in a straight up brawl, Superman wins. Every time. In actual conflict within the bigger scope of the setting/all things considered, Batman usually wins.
Just think of all the ways Batman can win = 1.
Superman has one weakness, which is well known.
Superman knows his one weakness so he can be prepared for Batman to use it against him. Superman isn't an idiot, he expects Batman to exploit his weakness.
Think of all the ways Superman can win = 1000000000.
Batman has infinite weaknesses being mortal. Superman is faster than a speeding bullet. He could ram his fist through Batman before Batman can even thought process what's going on. Superman could just simply pick Batman up and fly into space where Batman will die instantly (if not directly into the sun.)
Superman could also use his weapon from the Fortress of Solitude to send Batman into the Phantom Zone.
For Batman to win he needs a plan.

and end him right there. Batman wouldn't even know what hit him.

That's literally on the mild scale on what type of technology the DC universe plays with, I mean, are you for reals?
Granted, that was just an example I embellished on, but there are about 50 million others, included but not limited to magic failsafes, which is Superman's legit weakness other than Kryptonite.

I don't read comics. I just know that, since Superman can take down Goku, he could easily take down a dude in a bat costume.

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Injustice: Gods Among Us (This game is highly recommended, by the way.)

haha That's not an actual match, it's a combo video which seems to be mainly showcasing Batman. Of course he won.
I beat that game. The story mode was awesome but the gameplay is kinda stiff. Like Mortal Kombat games. I can't get into those types. As opposed to stuff like Tekken and DOA. I would recommend playing it, but don't buy it. Rent it.

Now see this is funny, I originally thought this topic was asking who you like better, so I voted for Batman.
But now seeing that this is a actual fight, I got to go with the man of steel. Clark has Super Strength, Super Speed, Heat Vision, Ice Breath (although that hasn't come up in ages). Matter how good Batman is, it's still incredibly one-sided.
