ANY SUGGESTIONS ON GOOD CO-OP/MULTIPLAYER RPG GAMES?

Pretty much the title...My gamer girl and I love experiences RPGs together even if we just takes turns playing but we discovered the greatness that is the Tales series (we've already played through Symphonia, Abyss and Vesperia) and now were addicted to CO-OP RPGs and hoping more exist so I figured I ask at a few of my favorite forums.

So yeah we literally JUST finished Vesperia so were looking for another one, now we really prefer a standard RPG as opposed to something like Diablo but feel free to suggest anything also We'd prefer games on NES, SNES, PS1, PS2, XBOX, XBOX 360, Wii or Gamecube since I own all those systems but if there's an awesome enough game I might hunt down the relevant system (including PS3 since PS4s release will likely lower its price).

So far I'm looking into Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, Diablo 3 (Xbox360), Borderlands 2 (she might not like this one), and hopefully I can find the other tales games (would appreciate a list actually)but I'm sure theres WAY more than that so please lay your suggestions on me...vague, obscure, limited release I don't care as long as you think it would be fun.

So yeah go nuts suggest away

You may have played it, but Final Fantasy is really great and you can switch control of any chatacter (besides the main character) between player 1 and 2. So you can have CO-OP battles and the story is really cool and cute.
This is for PS2 or PS1 though.

For xbox360 not much comes to mind as I havent really played any rpg games on it. I do suggest Diablo 3, im sure it would be some good fun.
Final Fantasy 6 has an in-built co-op mode. You can assign characters in battle to be controlled by either player 1 or player 2. Player 1 controls the overworld stuff. It's pretty fun, and I remember my friend and I played it up to about halfway through the world of ruin.

Plus, FF6 is the best FF, so there's that.

EDIT:
also, have you guys explored action RPGs, like the Diablos and Torchlights and Path of Exile? Or any of the numerous F2P MMOs?
FF6 is definitely a game we have to try together...are all the FFs co-op like that or just 6?

Also yeah we've tried dozens of F2P MMOs we settled on DnD Online and we love it (actually I posted this very same thread on their off-topic forums :D) but one MMO is enough for us...were looking for something we can pllay together and preferably on a console so we can chill on the couch.
If you're both into action RPGs, I'd suggest Marvel Heroes which is also free to play.

Isn't Dungeon Siege 3 multiplayer? Also, you are missing Torchlight and TL2 and Path of Exile for PC.

Dungeon Siege 3 is under 360...we prefer the console controllers...I'm not a biog fan of PoE its too MMO like.

If you could LAN Diablo 2 for PC that's really the best right der'
NES
Kung Fu Heroes - It's more like an actionRPG but it's kinda cool. You both get to walk around on the world map, iirc.

SNES
Earthbound - There are no options for it, but the second controller works. Both players can control all the action at all times.

about PSO, http://www.schtserv.com/ I love PSO. One of my favorite games of all time. PSU was awesome, but it pretty much died. And there's a new PSO2 in Japan right now! It's coming here and will be free to play. It looks really good.

There's probably more I know of that I can't think of right now.
Oh EB is multiplayer as well (sort of) cool :D

There's just one universal server, but there are lots of instances of the same areas. You'll always be plopped into the same instance with your friends and party members though.

oh god my wife and I played that SO MUCH. She was always a sorceress. We have like 3 or 4 level 80+ characters from our playtime together. We even both got Diablo 3 but unfortunately it turned out that game sucked balls. We slogged through to the end of Normal but neither of us have touched it since.
Not released yet, but you might want to look out for Secrets of Grindea (http://www.secretsofgrindea.com/ ).

Yes! Me and my brother went off on it too. For like the longest time, we played an assassin and a sorceress then I moved onto a barb for a tank role for nightmare and hell.
And yep, we tried D3 for PC and xbox annd yeah. Untouched and returned.
