GarnetofAlexandria and KisarethStudios (who are the same person) have both been banned for attempting to game the review system.
The Garnet account has reviewed several commercial games and given them generally less than favorable reviews while she submitted a suspiciously glowing review of Chronicles of a Dark Lord by Kisareth. The IP address of these two accounts matched. I believe this was a calculated attempt to try to exploit the review system to make her own game look better than the other commercial games on this site. The offending reviews have been taken down as I believe they were written in bad faith.
I hope nobody else ever tries to do anything like this.

Was she the person who gave one commercial game 2 stars even though she mentioned it had "great gameplay"? A well-deserved ban, I say!
Given that I live together with another RMN member (she introduced me to the site) and thus we often share the same IP address, do I need to worry about being banned, or will it be fine as long as we don't review each other's stuff and such?

You'll be okay as long as you let us know stuff like that (I've been in a similar situation myself), and you're allowed to review each others' stuff as long as the review is honest and forthright. Just don't try to review your own stuff or have friends deliberately try to pad your rating.
That's a different situation than this where there was obvious malicious intent. This isn't the first time Kisareth has been banned or caught doing stuff like this.
