Alright, I get the font, but why the centering? It's the same if the font hasn't been changed with the exception of it being centered.

I would never read a post in different text. I can't remember who always changed theirs (he was black, I know that...)
As for centered, while it does bother me, I still read those ones.

I wholeheartedly agree that the fonts and centering thing is stupid, but I hope you're not saying this would be a ban-worthy offense. Mockery-worthy offense, sure, but font-choice being ban-worthy would be....I dunno, draconian or something.

It really messes with the basic readability of the site if people change the format for basic posts. It doesn't make you stand out - it makes people ignore your posts!

I admit it was me :'( However I have refrained from my old habits. Its just been a habit of mine which has developed over the years, however that is a good point that it messes with the uniformity of the site. Anyways, I'll refrain from changing my font for the duration of my stay here at this community however the glow is still an interesting function, just kidding.

Dude using fonts and formatting is fine! If not, they would be disabled. The problem is when someone uses them for the entirety of their regular posts. If you want to draw attention to a word or a sentence or something though, go nuts!
Maybe I should just keep my mouth shut like always, but I am very curious on this subject. Of course, I am not very good at telling sarcasism or whose joking on forums. So I am assuming this is a serious deal.

But, why against centering? I understand that it might be a little difficult to read, but it's not a major deal. Unless people are changing the font, I don't see why centering alone should be targetted.

I guess it's a good idea to crackdown on this but i've seen far worse on other forum sites. Members actually post using multiple colours and such all throughout there posts.
