Yep, one person recently reviewed a few horror games.
How awesome that he reviewed them!
It almost makes it seem like there are too many horror games in the RM world. Am I right about this?

No!
And I blame Halloween.
And the fact that they can usually be made easier than high-fantasy, big rpgs haha.
The fact that he gave three games high scores is really interesting. Seems sort of unlikely that all three of those games are equally great.
author=InfectionFilesNot really true. They take just as much effort, they're often shorter than a sprawling epic, though. As are many games.author=Ratty524No!

It can be hard to create the right atmosphere, a lot of work goes in to the sound components and reaching the right balance of perceived safety and danger, keeping the player tense and scaring them at the right points. Jump scares are all well and good but they become annoying if they're all that's used.
So, yeah, not easier, just different.
Also, for the scores I think the guy is just a bit more forgiving for little things than others are. I read each one and have played two of the games. The scores aren't drastically upped in my opinion, so there's not really an issue there for me. Of course, if you disagree, you're more than welcome to try the games and review them yourself... ;p
Meh, a review is a review no matter how scary it might be.
One can never truly have enough horror themed games, my friend, never.
(Although, I would like to see more puzzle, sports / multiplayer games ‘round here personally, hahaha.)

Seems like a great thing to me! Reviews are rad, and help gam makkers refine their projects. So hey any reason to keep folks workin' is good to me!
Hurrah for reviewers and hurrah for games being reviewed. <3
