CONVERTING 2K3 TILESETS, TO VX?

Essentially, I decided I found the traditional graphics style of VX not to my tastes, but the numerous lacking of features (such as, but not limited to: scripting) of 2003 equally ..not to my tastes.

So, the most logical compromise would be to convert the 16-bit graphics style used in 2003 RTP and rips (which I love) to VX, yes?

I have the charset-converter, which is brilliant, but the tilesets are still an issue. I know there is a VX tileset made of the 2003 RTP, - but what is the process of conversion like? Can one simply drop a, say, tileset meant for 2003 into the VX folder, do a bit of fiddling, and voila? Or is it far more laborious than that?

I'm hoping the labour of converting tilesets would be far less than the labour of compensating for the lack of scripting features through events, so my question is how difficult the whole thing is, and if it's worth doing it.

EDIT: (this seemed to border on the criteria for the help request thread as well as this one, so I wasn't entirely sure where to put it, as it isn't a direct request of any sort)
For the most part it'd be a simple case of double size - except when it comes to autotiles. Those assholes will, for the most part, be okay - except when it comes to animated autotiles.

But, yes, double size works thanks to the initial size of 2k/3 being 16x16, while VX/Ace is 32x32.
Yeah, just resize by 200% in whatever image editing program you've got. In Paint, make you sure hit Ctrl+A to select all before you resize, otherwise you'll end up with a very blurry image. In Paint Shop Pro, make sure you select "pixel resize" when resizing.

You'll have to rearrange the tiles into an Ace sized tileset, but that part is a piece of cake. Just throw a bunch of 32x32 tiles together and then get pasting.
this, is music to my ears.

Thankyou for the responses!

Even newspapers have those nowadays.

If you want HQ tiles that look like 2k3 RTP, send some chipsets my way. I am kinda bored lately so could remade those into VX tiles (except autotiles, I have no freaking idea how they work and yes, I read that anatomy of autotile thing, it only left me more confused that I was already).

The point is, that I'll repixel them into 32x32 so they will have that 2k3 feel to it without being pixelated.

//edit: Here's small demo:

At the left, there is 2k3 version (16x16), at the right there's my remade version. Both are from building.png chipset bundled with RM 2k3. Keep in mind that those were done in like 30 minutes, so they are kinda messy (especially the palm), when I'll do actual work, I will spend more time on it.
