I don't mind them being presented like this. They're not really something I think about from day-to-day, so having a thread to remind me to take a peek is nice. Of course, people who are more obsessed with their stats may well prefer them to be present at all times; I'm just not one of those people.
I agree with Sated. I think of these stat posts as a neat little diversion to look at for a few minutes towards the start of every month. Most of the fun of looking at them would be lost if they were available 24/7 or updated daily.
