GAMER DREAMS

Ever had a dream involving video games post it here and share with everyone.

My most recent gamer dream was that I had Kirby as a pet. I fed him dog food (should that have transformed him?) and he floated me to places I needed to go.
I figure it wouldn't be to hard to train Kirby he's intelligent enough that I could teach him not to eat certain things or people, I hope.

My memory isn't great but I think Kirby's Adventure for the NES was the first game I beat I love that little dude.

I had a dream where I was escaping Ganon's Tower from Ocarina of Time with Midna from Twilight Princess, when I starting catching the business from the Beamos on either side of the entrance. So I fed her chipped rubies from Diablo II which caused a mild expansion to take place in her midriff and gave her the ability to breathe fire. We took out the Beamos and escaped. I woke up and shook my head.
Speaking of Midna I actually wouldn't mind seeing her in another game because she was easily the best sidekick character other than Zelda in Spirit Tracks. The only thing is I don't want to see a return of the twilight realm or Wolf Link. That stuff wasn't appealing to me I just wanted to be Link. So if they can bring Midna back without the wolf I'd be cool with that.
I always dream of games that don't exist in reality. If I wake up I'm sad because they don't exist and were really fun and adventurous!
My most recent dream was a nightmare that incorporated elements of Solforge. Probably because I've played too much of that game. It was about ghosts but all the ghosts had card levels just like in the game Solforge. Fairly minor thing I suppose.

One I remember from a couple of years ago though was a zombie apocalypse dream that was very much like Left 4 Dead. Not at first when it was just random zombie things, but when the car stopped in the neighbouring town what essentially was a L4D mission started with hordes of zombies constantly attacking and of course the most important thing the UI in the field of vision.

Essentially a Half-Life 2 wweapon selection thing was in the top right of my... I can't say screen because it was on the top right of myself and most of the dream was actually spent trying to find out what button to press (there are no buttons this is reality!) in order to switch weapons.

You can imagine the terror (nightmares again) of trying to switch to the shotgun when the bullets ran out in my previous weapon. Hammering the button 3 (though there is no button)

I'm pretty certain many of my dreams tend to incorporate video game stuff into them. Often because I've played too much. When I was young I had fever dreams about the board game Hotels. Dreams that were so intense that I essentially never wanted to play that game again.
:o I just woke up from a dream where I was playing a fictional game. I could change characters. One minute I was Bruce Lee, and the next I was Trinity from Dexter. It was an action-RPG like the new Ninja Gaiden games. I was dashing around in the air and dodging attacks. That's all I remember.

I just had a "gamer dream" last night. It was a mix-up of Final Fantasy 7 and just about any more recent skateboarding game.

Yes, Cloud Strife skateboarding, and the specials were named after and had something to do with his limit breaks. I was going to pull off an Omnislash combo to see how that would look, but I woke up.

Now I've got JENOVA's theme stuck in my head.
Ryu and Kyo (from King Of Fighters) team up against Shaq in a battle with MvC mechanics.

Oh my god, I want that to be a reality one day.

All of my dreams involve game logic and most have game characters or mechanics or story stuff from games. And they are awesome.

But I hate dreaming about PLAYING games. That always sucks because nothing ever functions properly and nothing makes sense. ;_;
Yeah, pretty much any dream that isn't about having to go back to highschool for some dumb reason is a half-sensical mashup of videogames and/or TV shows. I've written down quite a bit of this stuff for future reference.

Most recently, though, I dreamt I was playing a game with voice acting so bad that not only were lines often delivered in a completely wrong tone of voice, but they were sometimes delivered by the wrong actor! I actually lamented, while dreaming, the fact that this little "gem" wouldn't exist when I woke up.

Yes, Cloud Strife skateboarding

Most absurd thing I've heard since I dreamt of Martha Stewart running the Ninja Warrior obstacle course with giant, axe-wielding Pokemon to make it MOAR DEADLY.

Well, actually, Cloud skateboarding probably wouldn't be too wierd if soldiers were shooting at him and things were exploding. I mean, sounds like a typical day in a Squaresoft FMV if you ask me.
So a while ago I had a dream about having a new room with a new TV and when I had plugged in the TV it showed some RPG-ish 2D character sprite (boy) walk around an RPG map. It was monochrome but instead of scales of black it was scales of cyan-like colour. There where walls and trees and ponds. Looked a bit like Pokemon played in a GBC with blue-ish colour settings. It was however not a game, I was thinking (in the dream) that it might be some kind of interesting screen saver.

Then last night I dreamed about this room again. I was apparently already living there for a week or more. When I looked at the TV I saw this game/screenshot thingy was still running and always showed something different. I realized it was some kind of game that played itself. And it was LONG. It ran for weeks non-stop but still continued. Apparently that one boy from the start was still there but he also had a fat guy and a girl with him. Except for walking around over all different kinds of maps there were also sections that occured rarely when the boy sprite touched a certain object apparently a "Gate" (which was actually in colour). When that happened, suddenly anime-like sequences (but cheaper produced, not each frame drawn but rather computer animated), the girl was calling herself gate master and the used some kind of technique on the "Gate" object. Usually the outcome was "No danger detected, we can move on." and then they just continued walking. I remember there was also one event for danger actually was detected and then the boy and the fat guy did something to clear the danger but I can't remember that exactly anymore. There was also a history you could look up and it was pointing at "Chapter 7.1" before I woke up.

Not really a game, but certainly a gamer dream.

As a game: A game that completely builds and plays itself and shows sequences on certain events. Maybe even randomly generated and certainly over 1000 hours long which can be used as a screensaver.

It's funny how this game summarizes some of the notable things of my past life:
- being obsessed with setting up interesting screensavers the first time I used windows
- messing around with the colour settings on my GBC when I was young
- "Gate Master" obviously is a referrence to Might&Magic VI where one of the people you can recruit is called Gate Master (and is also needed to escape the secret dungeon that helps you getting started early on)
- discussing about complex scientific approaches in computer science with a friend, talking about Conway's game of life which shows how simply algorithms can create something very complex that actually feels alive and that my friend's ultimate goal is to write an algorithm that creates games by itself

Very interesting.

I just had a dream that I was playing Super RMN Bros. 3. I was playing that infamous level "Watch that First Step." where Mario was falling at high speed down a HUGE pit filled with every piece of crap trying to kill you. At one point, I finally got to the end of the pit, only to miss the platform the door was standing on and fall to my death. That's when I cried out "bullshit!" within the dream and went through a cycle of rage. After that was done, I woke up.

This is the first time a community-made fan game has ever given me a nightmare(?).

Here's a follow-up.

I took a nap today and had a dream that I was fighting Ganondorf in Twilight Princess. The catch: I'm Ganon and Midna is throwing me Rupees to power up my attacks. I'm circling pillars trying to collect said Rupees when I fall off the side of the castle (there was an open gap along one side like it's fucking Soul Calibur or some shit) and disappear into the cloudy void.

I reappear in Lake Hylia on a stretch of earth with Midna by my side, or at least something that resembles her. Imagine, if you will, a sentient balloon shaped to resemble Midna with one odd-shaped, flat nipple in the middle of her chest and a cluster of 3 interlocking suction cups on her crotch. I gaze up and down her figure for a moment before our surroundings shift to a small bedroom like something out of Resident Evil with the two of us lying on a mattress and me desperately trying to... *ahem*

There was no way in. I woke up.
Not exactly a game, but I did have a nightmare about being in Sword Art Online last night. All my party members got inflicted with confuse and I had to fend them off trying to survive. After their confused rampage they came back to their senses a distance away from me, but suddenly that area was blocked off with rubble.

As we were gathering plans to reunite, suddenly there was a rumble, and the section of the dungeon they were collapsed, and I saw their party windows disappear in a blink. I was left alone in a dangerous dungeon with a broken weapon and enemies much stronger than me.

Later after some stealth I did try to kill a Gargoyle guard who spotted me, but my rapier did no damage, and beating him with my fists had no avail. He called for backup, I freaked out and woke up.

It's scary to be in a dream where nothing you do works.

Strange and interesting, I hope you keep having weird Zelda dreams Corfaisus cause I like hearing about them.

My most recent gaming dream was about Megaman which is odd cause I haven't played a Megaman game in a while.
Basically there was this Robot Master with a toy hammer bopping mechanical moles on the head and when he hit a mole it would shoot out of the ground like a missile and go flying at Megaman.
