NEWCOMMER NEEDS HELP

well i am trying to make a naruto game like naruto path of a ninja it looks like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jTdvaVSEjc&feature=related and well all the sprite i have tryed to use are just showing up as little rectangles that u cant tell what they are i used sprites like this http://gprime.net/board/showthread.php?t=3599 and the animations i made wont show up they just turn out blue i used ones that look like this http://photobucket.com/image/rock%20lee/Gerson666/rock-lee.gif?o=168 i want to use it as a attack put it wont show up when i imput it :'( plz help thank you
