The female is typically submissive and doesn't move or do anything. This is the "accepted" normal happening there. The guy does his stuff. It is "proper" to be quiet by the female. The man's responsibility is to get the woman off -- she does nothing. It's almost formal.

Also now that I think about it, this isn't limited to Japan, but to many parts of Asia.

That sounds incredibly bland. A large part of the satisfaction is her doing stuff in delight. It's like a pat on the back for a job well done.

This has long been recognized as a staple of Asian sexuality and it's been confirmed by a lot of people as well, so it's pretty true. And it sucks. Screw cultural relativism here, that sucks. The woman just lying there like a dead fish during sex? Not only does that make for generally horrible sex, but it sucks for the woman too because lying there like a fish obvious isn't a sign that the woman is having a good time, or that she'll even orgasm.

I don't get why people stereotype "Asians" too much when it's obvious there's a lot of "Asians" out there that has different personalities. I'd like to see what kind of survey has been conducted to make you guys say this.

Judging by the age today, that "stereotype" is really low right now. You don't know how many "Asian" women I encountered that are way aggressive.

Because women don't have much rights to begin with in the old age. This is the new age so basically saying that is an insult to women :/
