I've slowly grown more distant from the FF franchise ever since the PS1 generation. I'm at the point now that I can care less whether FFXIII does or doesn't exist. Hell I own FFXII's Limited Edition but it's still in the shrink-wrap. =\
That doesn't mean I won't buy it since I own pretty much every FF of the main line (no Mystic Quest, Crystal Chronicles, X-2, etc.) but I dunno, the interest isn't there anymore. At least the Sci-Fi setting piqued my attention a bit.
I agree, ever since Final Fantasy departed for the PSX, I have lost a bit of interest for it. I played FFX but it wasn't anything that made me jump. Hmm, perhaps this game will bring me back, but as for the title on the 360, its good for me, less money spent.
I hate xbox. I dont know why I have such strong feeling towards the system, I just hate it. And Im not just saying that. I hate xbox with a passion. Microsoft is doing what they were doing back in the 90's. They are playing monoploy again, but its ok. Because we going to come back. They not going to out do us. Like I said I hate xbox. So the comments following these are going to be offensive. (I really dont mean anything be them. Just playing around.)

@NightCloud: I beg to differ. I view the XBOX as one of the best if not the best consoles out there: cheap, affordable, and a good number of games to play. And I am quite happy that FF13 is moving over to it. Face it the PS3 is an overpriced piece of junk. The only real reason I would get one is for MGS4 (Awesome game) and BluRay, apart from that my PS2 does everything I need. :p

My friend and I have had little care about in this gaming era, because each of us owns one or the other. We've had it the same time, and he's sent his 360 in twice now because it keeps breaking. Now to open the disc tray he has to use a paperclip, and it's always fucking up.

My PS3 has stuck it out this whole time, being moved about from place to place, going through firmware updates (a GOOD thing) and generally entertaining us more than Halo did. PS3 is not a 'piece of junk'. The Net, bluray, and video chat alone have kept me in continous satisfaction. Forget all the classics and PSN games I waste so much time on.
The FF13 shift is NOT a powershift. It's a way to make more money. That's the point of making a game.

Weird the other way around for me.I got a 360 at launch and had it for over a year but traded it in for a Playstation 3 at launch but I never had a problem with the 360.. Ever haha.
My Playstation 3 on the other hand fucked over almost a year in.. Sad day. I got a Xbox 360 Elite now(Sold the PS3 2 days ago $1010)so enjoying some good ole Crackdown!

Like Dudesoft the shift is simply a means to get money, face it in my opinion Square is not the shining jewel it was during the years of FFVII-X, appealing to a new hub of gamers may have been the best move the company has made since not ignoring the fact FFX-2 was the worst move in RPG History. ??? Anyways, as long as I have my MGS4 I'm ok, odds are that will be released on 360 also so...buh bye PS3, maybe I'll turn you into a nightstand or a bookshelf block like my Game Cube.

I'm listening to my ripped CD music (taken off via PS3) while typing this, and downloading some exclusive music tour footage, and preparing to slip back into Super Stardust HD again. Oh, this blutooth keyboard is awesome btw. :P

The PS3 is definitely more of a single / online / 2 man console. 360 is for when you want to play Halo and uh well other multiplatform games that have multiple player function...? Anyway the point is: I love my PS3, but I also love going to my friends house for some Rock Band or Master Chiefing. Both are good consoles; one for being a multi-use hardware, the other for being just fun.
