HELP!! RPG MAKER 2000

That's weird, compatibility mode should be available for any executable. The only thing that would make me think is that you're accidentally trying to open the help file since older Windows help file formats aren't compatible with newer operating systems (hence the "Operating system not supported" error) and the lack of compatibility mode.

Can you play RPG Maker 2000 games or is this just the editor?

I usually play RPG maker 2000games on mac but Im sure editor is not working. Set up file is .exe and right clicked and I went to properties. No compatibility option

So the installer / setup file isn't working? I think we had an issue a few months back where somebody couldn't get the installer they downloaded for RPG Maker 2000 to work and I'm not sure if we found a solution.


If it isn't the installer then I'm a bit stumped. I'm not sure what would cause the compatibility option to not appear. My only idea is that you're using Windows 8 RT which is built for a different instruction set (ARM) instead of what RPG Maker 2000 uses (x86).

Can you download a RPG Maker 2000 game from this site and report what happens when you try to run it? Does it open and reach the title screen fine or does it report an error? Is compatibility mode available for the RPG_RT.exe file to run the game?
