Seeing that, of these consoles, I own only a PS2, well...
No xbox owned, but when I played on one .. well. Not mine. Not to mention their selection of games are usually either available on PC and/or Playstation, while the others have many exclusive titles. (and I'm not interested in Halo, so that's that)

PS2 is imho definitely the strongest console, if you are into RPGs anyways. A huge, great selection. I haven't played many games that come close to my favorites there.
So many SMT-titles alone
Game selection/quality will be above hardware and controller anytime for me. Good thing PS2 had it all
xbox actually has some neat niche titles like Breakdown, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Ninja Gaiden Black (the next gen ports suck), Phantom Dust, Gun Valkyrie, JSF2, Metal Wolf Chaos, Republic Commando (pc version sucks) Otogi 1 and 2. Since the other 2 systems can be emulated i went out of my way to revisit some games on the xbox and it's quite a treat.

im kind of welp since i dont really care about system preferences and tend to explore for any interesting games.
Yep, I'd say that's what the majority does anyhow (and why I find debates beforehand quite amusing). Good to know - no games that I'd need/like to have played, but noted
I kind of like the XBox(360) controller, but it's still kind of heavy. If I play for several hours with it, my arm hurts. Doesn't happen with a PS2(3) controller for me. But it has its own flaws. PS2 and PS3 controller don't have good button feedback, especially after you used them for a while you won't even feel any different between button pressed and button not pressed.
Since when did Welp become a gaming console?
Gamecube is my obvious answer.

I believe that the Gamecube had some great innovative games in its lifetime, but all people liked on that system were Mario Kart: Double Dash and Super Smash Bros. Melee, though the latter was awesome. I believe that some people didn't see the cool new features that were critiqued as innovative and fresh.

Enough said.
Gamecube had a great controller and the best technical performance...

...but the PS2 just has an unbeatable library. So large, so varied. Seven Shin Megami Tensei titles.

I still have my bad boy hooked up. I liked the PSP so much because it felt like a continuation of the core values of the PS2's bizarro library.

100 MS to the person who can pronounce the name of that game, quickly!
It's Japanese. Hell, I know how to pronounce it, but don't ask me to describe it with English pronounciation o.o

4:40 There. Like that. It's easy for Germans to pull it off, though.

I love Gamecube, PS2 and Dreamcast equally. What's that you say Dreamcast isn't on the poll? NOOOOOOOOOOO!

I don't really care about the Xbox the only reason I've ever wanted one was to play the sequel to Jet Grind Radio other than I could care less about it.

Anyway it was a tough call but I voted Gamecube.

Dreamcast should be included in a different gen I think?

PSone Vs. Nintendo 64 Vs. Dreamcast

Anyways Dreamcast was pretty dead at the announcement of PS2.
And not even around much by the time the XBox launched.

These sorts of polls usually ignore this sytem.

Edit:

Welp! = Dreamcast
The Saturn was Sega's console during the PSX/N64 era. The Dreamcast, like the 32X, kinda exists in its own little pocket dimension as far as distinct generations of console wars go. If you look at this list of multiplatform games on the DC and DC ports to other systems, its a pretty even mix of both PSX/N64 and PS2/GC games.
The dreamcast is a 6th gen console. Which is also known as the 128-bit generation.

Dreamcast, PS2, Gamecube, and Xbox are all 128-bit so they all fit into 6th gen.

Not to mention the last licence game for the Dreamcast was in 2006, which is the same year 7th gen started with the Wii and PS3.
@seacliff217: There have never been any 128 bit consoles. There has never been a modern, production 128-bit CPU.

The Dreamcast was 64-bit. The Gamecube was 32-bit, by the way.
I definitely have to say the PS2.

You see, when I was a kid with one, the game piracy scene was really big over here...
So... I got to try... a lot of games... >_>

That's the RAM, I'm talking about the graphics engine.

The Dreamcast ran on two 64-bit graphics engine, and don't say that makes it a 64-bit console because the Nintendo 64 ran on 2 32-bits.
