STRANGE VICTORY SOUND PIANO CONVERSION

So, someting strange happened. I imported the "Victory04" ME from RPG Maker XP to my VXAce game project to use it, well... as a victory sound. So, when I play it in the editor, it sounds normal, but when I test it in battle, sometimes, the ME sounds like it if was a piano version of the same, you get what I mean?

It's not really a problem, the ME sounds pretty cool, but I wonder why it sounds like that... Any thoughts?

I have no idea what causes this, but I know exactly what you're talking about. There were a few RTP midis I used in my own RM games where I noticed that they wouldn't always play right. There was the normal version and a weird piano version. Sometimes the piano version would happen after a loop, even though the song was playing normally before!

If anyone knows anything about it, I'd be very interested.
I can confirm it's been happening since 2000, and not just with RTP midis. But I really have no credible theory about what causes it.

Really? Now that's curious...
I haven't encountered this before, but if I had to hazard a guess as how to solve it, it would be to open the MIDI's up in an editor (try MIDIEditor or Sekaiju) and, at the start of the file, set Continuous Controllers #0 and #32 to a value of 0.

These two events are what's known as Bank Change, and if improperly set, can sometimes leave the MIDI Player unsure as to what sound to use.

My only guess as to why this would happen is that its possible that ME's, since they are played over the BGM, aren't initialized in the same way.

(Sorry if this doesn't make any sense)

EDIT: Okay, I figured it would be easier to tell if my idea fixes anything if I just went ahead and added the events myself, so try this version and hopefully it'll solve this.
