Got any Dexreth amulets?
6299
Okay, sorry JJJ7. I try not to take the responsibities of the DM any more. ^_^

Hooray! No level grinding! This is getting better and better.
Well, it is a bit of an odd system, but it fits our playstyle and doesn't reward just running around murdering as much as possible. I approve.

Also, my lying skills are awesome! Unfortunately, I currently don't have the slightest idea what to do next. Suggestions, anyone (especially Gourd_Clae)?
It's a great system indeed! :D
Okay, now I'm going to put my previous dialogue here in case that Wes doesn't sees it:
----------
I looked with joy at all the spoils we got from the Balgroth and said:

"HA, HA, HA! Look at that! We could get something really worthy of our time from this bounty!"

I turned my attention to a couple of shining stones:

"These rocks... I feel like there's a great power from them! But maybe we should save this for when all of our group is together."

I now turned to Wes and said:

"For now we should worry about keep mining these rocks and to decide how we're going to distribute all of this treasure..."
"Well, once we have everything we've gathered together, feel free to load as much of it as you want onto me! I can carry it! Well, MOST of it, at least. And yes, those stones do seem to emanate some power... we'll save those for when the group's back together, as you said!

I assume we'll be giving everything other than those strange stones to that man at the shop, so we can get weapons and armors much cheaper? Then, if the others aren't back yet, perhaps we should go see if they're okay? Though I'm sure they will be okay! I hope..."

(Oh, and yes, that system DOES seem pretty interesting. But the question is, who gets the three stones we have for now?)

Ahhh I forgot!
Gourd, the Raven, is flying about the cavern!
Yes, cannot forget him!
Well, if those sparks are the stalactite monsters we saw before we could make them rain death upon the murkals. Though they were upset by a water breath attack before. And we don't have any water. Maybe another spell could make them fall too?

But Gourd, if we do that, we would probably make them rain death upon Razuna and the other creatures, too. We're here to rescue him, after all, not kill him. Though you have a point, we might be able to use them...

How about we try stealth first, and if that doesn't work, we'll have to use violence. I had the following idea:
You (Bazyli) try to sneak into the cave using the moss and the groove in the wall. It should be no problem for you to stay hidden since you're small. I stay behind and load my crossbow with a special quartzine bolt. If you manage to reach the cage, you quietly notify Razuna and try to get him out of there. Should something go wrong and the Murkals notice you, I will immediately shoot the Murkal Boss right in the head (and hopefully kill him). If that does not cause enough confusion among the Murkals for you to escape, you will destroy the weakened cave wall with a spell so it breaks down upon the Murkals. If that's still not enough, you guys find cover and we'll try to get the stalactite monsters to fall down.
Sounds like a plan?

Yeah, I know there's probably a hundred ways this could go horribly wrong, but it's the best I can come up with. Feel free to suggest something better.

P.S.: I'm going to sleep now, so I won't be able to react quickly to what you post next, Sorry about that.

Mmm, but you guys never posted your actions in bold.

I'll need to crack down on this, bold or no action!
Good night!
I like that plan. I originally figured Razuna would be fine since he's in a cage. Though it might not be strong enough.

@seiromem:
I didn't post any actions in bold because I wasn't sure about doing any of it yet. I wanted to discuss our strategy with Gourdy first. Now that that is done, I'm ready to move on.

@Gourd_Clae:
Glad you think the plan is okay. Let's do this! Good luck sneaking past 50 Murkals, please don't die!
I hope you update this tomorrow because if you don't...>:(

Egads! A threat! I'm really behind now!
*starts typing* -see I put MY action in bold, why can't you guys ;_;?
(I-I always have my actions in bold! I just didn't this round because you already told Zuko and I what our actions would be this turn ;_;)

THAT DOWNTIME DELAYED ME! Here ya go guys!
---------------Turn 18---------------

---------------Kairy + Bazyli + Razuna--------------------
I'm going to break the lock on your cage, 3!

With a swift strike, you break the lock on the welken's cage with one of your gladius. It was quiet, so no Murkals noticed you. You tell the welken "Wait one moment before you go axe crazy."

What's the next step of the master plan Mr. Badass?

Meanwhile, Bazyli and Kairy have their own plan. You (Bazyli) try to sneak into the cave using the moss and the groove in the wall. 6!

Bazyli, after steadying himself from the queasy-ness of the Murkal, does his best to climb on the lengthy moss. He does so succesfully, and manages to shimmy to the grove in the wall where he can stand and has a large view of the room, he also spots Razuna breaking the lock of one of the cages! Kairy doesn't see this, however, as her view is blocked by plenty Murkals. Kairy instead load my crossbow with a special quartzine bolt. successfully, and now has a loaded large wooden crossbow with a quartzine tipped bolt, aimed at the head of the fat murkal. Now, Bazyli quietly notify Razuna and try to get him out of there. (3!) bazyli whispers to Razuna "Razuna, Kairy and I are here and have taken up positions, I'm in a groove above you and Kairy is at the entrance readying her crossbow." However, Bazyli is about to climb down when Razuna says "Don't come down, I can free myself. Now, let's talk plan."
After briefing Razuna on Kairy and Bazyli's Discussion, they should formulate a plan from here, however Kairy will be out of the loop, she only knows to shoot the fat murkal in the head should the murkals take notice of Bazyli, which she is Perfectly capable of doing thanks to her PERC.
The waterfall in the back of the cave starts slowing down a bit, with bits of debris falling from it.

Lvl 1 Bazyli: Cannonball and MAGI Chain: Wimpy Leather Armor: 100 CEIL All skills available! In a groove in the wall. Climbing made him loose some endurance.

Lvl 1 Kairy: All skills available. 27 Hardened Tip Bolts and 9 Quartzine Tipped Bolts. Large Wooden Crossbow (loaded w/Quartzine Tipped Bolt): Wimpy Leather Armor: 100 CEIL: Hook x1 Torches x 4.

Lvl 1 Razuna: Dual Shoddy-Iron Gladius: Wimpy Leather Armor:125 CEIL: Power Strikes on cooldown! Burned on all of your body! Bazyli is near, and you are so told Kairy is as well!

What do!?!?!

Zuko + Wes----------------------------
After a long bit of mining, the two of you (Mostly due to Wes' ENDU and Zuko's ATK) mined a total of 15x Quartzine Shard, x6 Moonscale, x1 Ruby, x2 Topaz, x3 Mystery ore, and x 1 POWER STONE.
After distrubuting the spoils of the balgroth and the mining, you both are burdened! You can't move fast! That's a lot of stuff!
Meanwhile, the miners come walking back in, skittish like sheep, when they see a giant, gutted dead balgroth, they all sigh a sigh of relief.
They then look at the two warriors and say "Thanks for killing that thing!"
"How can we repay you?" "You saved our jobs!"
When the taskmaster comes storming in and yells "Where issss that harlot what punched m-" but he's interuppted by zuko's fist, and he falls flat on his back yet again. The miners all stare for a bit, then they all laugh.
"Here, take this wheelbarrow. You've earned everything you've collected, we'd think so!" one of the miner's thank you.
With a wheelbarrow, you are no longer burdened! You guys start rolling it out of the mine when Wes states "You didn't have to punch the lizard! Ah well, he did refer to Kairy as a harlot, can't say he didn't deserve it.... but oh, listen to me! Not very righteous at all, taking revenge! Well, as long as I didn't do it and couldn't top it, what's the point of worrying, eh Zuko? Oh, I think I should be quiet now.... yes..."
"It's not you Wes, it's Kairy and the others. They're not back yet which either means they're having trouble or were captured. What should we do?"
"Hm, well we can't very well leave this wheelbarrow in the middle of town, someone no good thief might take it!"
This is when the contractor comes wobbling to you yelling "Seems you need to go somewhere without that wheelbarrow! Well, keep it near me, I'll be sure no one touches it. It is, after all, essential to your preparations to making us RICH!"

So how 'bout it? Or perhaps you could only take a few things and take them to the armor shop for crafting. Perhaps they don't need more help? Or could you wait to discuss what gets made into what, after all.....
RECIPE LIST FOR THE WEP+ARMOR SHOP:
Weapon: Made upon request of what you want. -Price Varies (You CAN request better weaponry!!!!!!!!)
Hatchet: Log + Material of blade - 25 CEIL
Bolts: Material you want + Log - Price Varies
Murkal Scale Armor: 50 Murkals scales - 65 CEIL
Ferall Leather Armor: x3 Ferall Pelts. - 50 CEIL
Quartzine armor: 13 Quartzine Shards - 100 CEIL
Moonscale Helmet: 2 Moonscale + 1 Chunk of Chosen Material - 65
So, let's say seiromem, is there a way I can upgrade my actual weapon?
Because Zuko is not the kind of guy that gives up his predilect weapon so easily...
Seiromem
I would have more makerscore If I did things.

The only way to upgrade existing weapon is with either
1: Add-ons/Attachments: but I can only think of attacthments for the crossbow, such as a recoil buffer, an addition arrow "Slot" so you don't need to reload after firing one but double the reload time, or you can fire two at the same time at the cost of more reload time.

2: Enchant it. Like the weapon you have? Well, you'll need runes and elemental essence to enchant what you like. Combinations don't always = both. For example, demoni enchanted swords just add on more demoni elemental damage, same for fire. However Demoni AND Fire (in that order) enchantment = Ability to defile! (This is the enchantment on your sword)

You can also UPGRADE enchantments by using the same runes and essence you used for the original enchantment + a POWER STONE. Because you're basically leveling up your weapon's enchantment"
In your case, I'll just assume it's a lvl 1 Demoni-Fire enchantment on Katarina- Demoni is the primary essence, as that's why the sword doesn't do fire damage, and fire is the secondary, adding in an additional effect (Defilement)
You used 2 Demoni Runes, 4 Demoni Essence, 1 Fire Rune, and 2 Fire Essence.
You'll need that same amount + a power stone.
Since it will never be obvious, the Antique shop sells runes and essence.
There's also the possibility of a tertiary enchantment, but I won't get into that.

YOU'LL NEED A GOOD MAGI STAT FOR THIS!

3: Temper it. Get the same material your weapon is made out of and find a blacksmith to temper it! Or try it yourself, that will be based on your DEX + ENDU + the tool you're using (regular grindstone- whatever)
Forging one from scratch requires DEX + ENDU + ATK.
Your race is a demon, so your sword is made out of onyx - a powerful material, I can see why you don't want to get rid of her. You probably can't find onyx just anywhere of course.

That's how you upgrade your weaponry if you don't wanna substitute it out!
A bit lengthy, Imma add it to the OP!

Got any Dexreth amulets?

Good job, guys. Try to make it out of there alive, okay?
Well, since I can't really actively do anything right now, I'll just stay hidden and keep aiming at the Murkal Boss' head and generally observing what is happening inside the cave.

Edit: seiromem, I'll just assume you meant runes and not ruins when talking about enchanting, right?
Seiromem

6375
Yes indeed! I've added all this new info into the OP-Refer to it for future upgrading.

ALSO- Upgrading is not limited to weapons! You can do this with any type of equipment!
"Hm, well, now that we have that Contractor guarding our things (I certainly HOPE he guards them...) I do believe we should go and check if the others are okay! The Weapons and Armor shop can wait, can it not?"

(Also I must admit I'm kinda interested in enchanting my sword with Electro so I can use Soak on enemies and be able to actually do some damage. But would my elemental deficiency make that a bad idea?)

I'll update the OP to specifically cover what an Affinity and Deficiency do!
but to answer your question, YES! It'd be a bad idea.
