I've always wanted to kill one of you guys, and to do it twice even moreso! This is the best birthday present ever! Anyways, mood music!

Wes readies his body and yells "Come get me you dirty bugs!" 5! To the highlander's surprise, this attracts all the nearest crawlers into attacking him! Two leap forth, and Kairy fires at one of them! 1! Her mechanism malfunctions and the bolt breaks! Her crossbow is jammed for 2 turns! Kairy growls with frustrating as she retreats behind a boulder, Renae doing the same. The first crawler leaps at Wes while the second one misses Wes! Wes 4! deflects the crawler with his shield, pushing it to the ground. Shivad attacks the two in front of her and Bazyli! 4! 5! Impaling them with icicle spears!
Meanwhile to the left, Zuko and Razuna try to assault the crawlers around them!
Zuko attempts a reaver slash while Razuna tries to blast them with his will! 3! 3!
Zuko's brings his arms around in a sweeping slash, killing a crawler and injuring the other two's front legs! They get defiled, and start to limb towards you. Razuna has similar luck, the burst of energy knocking a crawler into a pit and rending the ones next to it, weakening them. Stalled, they ready their lunges once more. Fureira throws out her chakrams at the line of Crawlers surging towards her!
3! They slice one to bits, but that's about it. She backs up towards Razuna and Zuko a tiny bit as they charge her! The cralwers on the outer rim surge forth, and more appear in front of the party!
As does Anathema, a rumble from the rubble and it bursts out! Roaring in pain and fear, it's shriek strikes fear into all who are sound of mind! Everybody except Bazyli is fear-stricken! Bazyli wasn't paying attention at all. Not to the sounds to slashing and words of frustration, not to the monsters aiming to tear his carcass apart. Bazyli was resisting the Highlander.
And he failed.
"Hmph, I've no need to risk this vessel, and you're far too stubborn. Time to go."
And with that, Bazyli's soul is crushed. His being reduced to pulp and absorbed by the highlander. The body just falls, the life plucked out of it, and in it's place power assembled. Bazyli's form rises as Shivad looks in awe and fear. That form flies away, Shivad screaming and chasing after him down the cliff.

We're doomed.
We're doomed.
I had seen death happen before. But it was just only underworld beasts and other demons. To survive in Hell, there were moments where we had to kill ourselves, so there weren't any kind of emotional attatchments either. I never felt any actual feelings for anyone in my life.
So that's why now, for the first time in my life, death shocked me. And it wasn't just any death. It was the death of a partner. The death of a friend. The death of Bazyli...
I couldn't contain myself. I let out a strong scream and I pierced my sword to the ground. Then it came to me. The pain. The sorrow. The fear. I didn't knew what to do, and only one thought crossed my mind:
We were going to die...
So that's why now, for the first time in my life, death shocked me. And it wasn't just any death. It was the death of a partner. The death of a friend. The death of Bazyli...

"Shivad! Bazyli? Shivad, is B-bazyli... wait, wait!" His body, it just flew away, and she ran after it. I have to go after him too! I have to! If one of us can catch him, o-or something, maybe he'll be okay...? Of course, of course he'll be okay! I swear... I can save him! Somehow! I run after Shivad and Bazyli. Though stricken with fear, I can surely still save him! I just have to ignore this sickening feeling...

Yet there he went, out of our grasp, and with him the last bit of formation and motivation our group had sustained. And there didn't even seem to be a reason for it. Nothing any of us could have done. Only watch, helplessly.

She then puts her hoists her crossbow and grabs Renae's arm as she rushes down the steep slope. Fureira, Razuna, and Zuko all run towards them at top speeds.
Fureira, noticing they can't outrun the closest crawlers, pumps tons of energy into a massive firewall! It deters most of the crawlers! Wes had already ran after Bazyli's flying form. In fact, Kairy was calling Wes back to the fight.
"Get back here, Wes! We can't catch him yet and don't know if he's even harmed! Let's focus on the enemy at hand!"
Rocks tumble and dust is kicked up us the group rushes down the rocky, steep slope. Anathema's roar is heard and everyone naturally merges into a group as they near the bottom. However Renae is having trouble keeping up, as Kairy let go to call for Wes. Renae trips and falls near the base of the rock formation! Everyone sees the fires of Fureira's firewall dissipate, and soon crawlers burst forth from the top of the formation.
