LIKES
Posts
author=ankyloauthor=LibertyYou can subscribe to topics...that's sorta like favorite topics. Of course, you'll get notices when users post in the topics you've subscribed to...
Frankly, I don't see an issue with that. At all. Just tie their likes to their account. Hell, faves. Fave posts. Okay, yeah, forget likes, I'd like to request Favourite Posts.
It doesn't have to show up in the actual post in any way, but having a Fave Post area in your own profile, so that you can refer back to them at any time, would be beast. I'll even forgo the requested Self-Post Search for this feature.
I was talking more posts, not whole topics. (This way I could fave a post I've made full of information for newbies and keep referring back to it instead of having 1000 text documents on my desktop... I'm not joking. Okay, maybe going a bit far with 1000, but I have a lot.) Also, sometimes you just want to be able to look back at a certain post without having to wade through an entire topic - especially when it comes to longer ones. >.<;

Oh, ok. Maybe I'll put a "save" button in like reddit has.

Forums don't have likes and don't need likes.
Instead, just post to the person or thing in question that you like it.
"I like that!"

Thank you! ^.^)b
@Cash: I am seriously tempted to take one of those images at a time and scatter them around posts in the forums that I like, just editing them in.
Seriously.
Fucking.
Tempted.

I love you Cashmere, but that's spam.

That said, I'm gonna have to remove some of them because holy shit, my browser is hating life right now.
Edit: There, that should lessen the strain on various internet connections without lessening the impact of the statement you were trying to make. Phew! (There were so many of them! It was like a never-ending tide of links >.<; )
@Cash: Please, think of the dial-uppers and don't do that again outside of the welp forums.

Really, a Like system would be nice and all, but I'd rather not have one. Can't explain why, I just think... no.
Also the little Like icons at the bottom of some people's posts are confusing me. Liberty pls ;_;

That's what I love most about this place, honestly. It's not serious until someone makes it serious.
I was wondering about that like I saw earlier. Hahaha, silly Libby.
I think I'm generally against likes though.

and in a day it'll be not serious again, or forgotten.
Only to be resurrected years later as an example.
